All 50 states would block @elonmusk from teaching a high-school physics class because he doesn’t have an arbitrary government-issued "teaching certificate." We’ve got professionals and retirees in all 50 states—engineers who built bridges, pilots who’ve flown across the world, and doctors and nurses who’ve saved lives—who would love to volunteer to teach. Yet they can’t because teachers unions have lobbied to create barriers. State governors should tear down these barriers and invite professionals and retirees into our schools to teach and inspire young Americans.

This is one of the most powerful testimonies on testimony i believe I have ever heard. His message of individual choice is so needed universally as well as the eternal confirming nature of the Holy Spirit.

Living to 101 is a privilege I never anticipated. I was pleased to be able to share a few thoughts in a global publication about what I have learned and observed during this time. After more than a century of life and decades of studying both the human body and the human soul, I have found this to be true: we are happiest when we remember our divine worth and extend that recognition to others—beginning with our own families. More than two millennia ago, Jesus Christ preached these same laws of happiness: to love God and to love our neighbor. People who cheat on their spouses are more likely to cheat at work, too. Evidence: Marital infidelity predicts 2-3x greater odds of professional misconduct among CEOs, financial advisors, and police officers. Integrity is not a 9-5 job. Character counts in every part of life.

Dads are spending 3-4x as much time with their kids as their dads did with them. When father figures are engaged, kids show better cognitive development, boys have fewer behavioral problems, and girls have fewer emotional problems. Every child deserves strong parental bonds.

@patsonvideo Pat, I got into ham radio as a teen - back when I was in Boy Scouts. I haven’t done much with it since then, since there wasn’t really anyone I knew and was interested in talking with on the radio.

People who can’t handle criticism are unfit to lead. Weak leaders silence their critics to shield their egos. They fear dissent as a threat to their power. Strong leaders silence their egos to learn from their critics. They welcome dissent as an opportunity for growth.
