This is the biggest reform to our Parliament in a generation. 🇬🇧 This morning, the 700-year-old system of hereditary membership in the House of Lords was abolished. Membership is now earned through public service and merit, not granted by an inheritance. ✅

Make Votes Matter
Make Votes Matter@MakeVotesMatter·
With voters increasingly moving away from the traditional two-party system, Proportional Representation is not only more urgent than ever. It's also more achievable than ever before. There's now record support for PR, among the public and in Westminster. No party can say for sure that First Past the Post works in its interest anymore. The country is ready for change. We can win it - and transform UK politics for good.

#SaintJoseph cared for the family that the Lord entrusted to him. Guardianship means being attentive to others, respecting their choices, and caring for them. St. Joseph shows us that presence and guardianship are inseparable dimensions: we can only care for others by being present, and we are only present when we assume responsibility for the other.

Buona Festa del Papà! On March 19, the day before the Spring equinox, families in Italy celebrate Saint Joseph's Day, or Father's Day, la Festa del Papà. Sweet treats are typically served, including these fried and cream-filled pastry puffs called Zeppole di San Giuseppe.

March 19th marks the feast day of St. Joseph and Father’s Day in Italy 🇮🇹 A day to celebrate the men who show up, sacrifice, and lead their families with quiet strength, just like San Giuseppe did. Auguri a tutti i papà 🙏

Hardcore Italians@HardcoreItalian·
On this day, 165 years ago, Italy achieved a monumental milestone in its rich history: the unification of its diverse regions into one nation. Before this historic event, Italy was a patchwork of kingdoms, duchies, and city-states, each with its own rulers and customs. The unification process, known as the Risorgimento, involved decades of struggles, wars, and diplomacy. It was led by visionary leaders like Giuseppe Garibaldi, Count Camillo di Cavour, and Victor Emmanuel II, who became the first king of a united Italy. This day marks the triumph of unity over division, and the birth of the Italy we know and love, with its unified culture, language, and identity. Let's celebrate Italy's journey to becoming a single, unified country, honoring the heroes who made it possible. Happy Unification Day, Italy! 🇮🇹 #ItalyUnification
