What is the ideal number of students in your classroom for what you teach?

Walk past a young lady standing outside a classroom door on her phone while I'm on hall duty this morning. Wish her a good morning and move on. 5 minutes later she's still there, so I ask if this is her classroom. "I don't have to tell you that, do your job". (It gets worse)

Ohio will be the first state in the country to implement merit-based pay for teachers & principals in our public schools. Pay for performance - period.

@FixingEducation In many communities it would not be a big difference in about 10% athletics and schools academically would improve in another 10% academics would not survive and schools would also not get better academically.

Should schools in America run sports programs, or should local communities take over like in Europe?
This wouldn’t mean getting rid of school sports—just shifting them to clubs, freeing up school resources for academics.

Kid recently got suspended because he consistently walks out of his classes and doesn't come back. Today was his first day back from suspension and he immediately did it again.
