We always dressed in the home locker room and tapped the “Play Like a Champion Today” sign. It had already been there for over 30 years, so Notre Dame was 40 years late.

@JeffScoggins @stevemagness The summer heat in Austin would be an issue. How about this novel idea: Split the USATF Outdoor National meet with the shorter sprints and other events not as affected by the heat in Austin. At the same time, mid- and long-distance races in Eugene where distance running is king.

@stevemagness Agree and often wonder why the stadium in Austin (20k dedicated track stadium) couldn’t be used. It’s in the middle of America and in a huge metro area.

I’m not here to be a Debbie downer. But this is sad. This weekends USAs had so many crazy races. And we get 6k people showing up. We need more venues than middle of nowhere OR, and better marketing/ideas. The athletes deserve it. They are putting on a show.

Hey Tommy Fleetwood! I know it hurts but this should make you feel some better. I know KB is a tiny bit more down the hill and straighter but your putt 100% hits a ball mark and dives dead right. You both hit the same putt within a 1/4 of a ball at least.

@FriendofHarlots @travismillerx13 He ran an open 400 in 46.3 at the Texas state track meet at age 16, so he’s plenty fast enough to be a quarter miler.

@travismillerx13 It is an interesting combination of speed, endurance, and strength. It is like he is not fast enough to be a quarter-miler but doesn't quite have the strength to be a world- class miler.

31 years ago today: DOGPILE IN OMAHA! OU baseball won the 1994 National Championship. The Sooners took down Georgia Tech, who were led by future MLB stars such as Nomar Garciaparra, Jason Varitek and Jay Payton. OU swept its way through Omaha, including a 13-5 win in the championship game.
