@ColemanPlayz I love forza but never played a forza game more than once. Once I get to the 30 hours mark I basically demolished the game, every race is a breeze and the game stops being fun because there is no sense of going forward

@toshkyo Progression is important and I don't understand why it is frowned upon by so many. It's not 20 hours of suffering, there is nothing cooler than getting your shitbox to 180hp and winning races. That said I still love forza, I just wish it had at least a bit of progression

people are not used to a game trying to make you have fun and enjoy a lot of different stuff from the get go instead of making you have to suffer for 20 hours before you can start enjoying it

@napeeko my biggest gripe with these headsets. What am I supposed to play? Endless possibilities for creation and yet every game is a generic shooter both in mechanics and story. You could be a God in the headset, yet every game is just shooting. Or a mid conversion of a flat game

@coco_thefool @Actually_Tina This is definitely the case with the 7.X+ patches, where they started to incorporate more scene specific animations or more elaborate motions than using the usual stock animations.

@Actually_Tina And I know that people will still say it would take too much time or money but let's not forget that square makes a bunch of money on xiv which are basically tunneled in other, sometimes squalid, ventures. I love the game, but even yoshi P realized that the game needs to level up

@Actually_Tina What achieves this look is not the fabled motion capture. The cutscenes have a sense of direction. Look how the camera movement makes the scene feel dynamic and how things are framed into it. They could very well do this within the modern game and they (sometimes) do to an extent

Finished base Dawntrail! The story was pretty good. It was well focused on the importance of the legacies we carry forward and it was nice seeing the WoL in a mentor role that displays how our strength and wisdom is reflected on Wuk Lamat becoming a strong leader.

@coco_thefool @Finaland_ Steam is notoriously bad with live service MMO payments. Specifically for SWTOR and FFXIV, also if Steam ever were to go under before FFXIV EoS you would have to re-buy the games as a non-steam version to continue playing.
