Finally I can make this announcement. When I posted a post looking for a dev role on threads, didn't expect anything to happen tbh, I expected more to happen on my Twitter than my threads😭 But the shocking thing happened, a startup reached to me and we got talking about hiring me for a freelance position. It was scary, at first I was scared like, will this work out, too good to be true. Jumped on a call with them and...... It didn't work out. But I didn't give up, I analyzed our call and tried to figure out why it didn't work out, then I reached to them again proposing a deal that would satisfy both of us and it did. Finally got my first ever freelance role, this is insane, it's only God fr🙏🏽❤️

My brother told me he wants to start coding and asked what language to learn first. Believe me this is the first time I didn’t answer python with this question.

If you lack motivation Or lack reasons to begin Or are just curious about how learning to code can benefit you, here's my story. Even though I am: - Self-taught - A college dropout - A non-native English speaker - Living in a country you might not find on a map Let me share what coding did for me just last year. I rarely talk about my personal life here, but this deserves to be an exception. Thanks to coding, I managed to visit 10 different countries last year. The best part? While I was enjoying myself, I was still earning money. This is because I work remotely and can do it from anywhere. If you think I'm just lucky and it's not possible for you, remember: - I am self-taught. - I dropped out of college. - English is not my first language. - I live in a country that many can't locate on a map. Yet, I still got to see so many beautiful cities last year. It will NOT be easy. But today I can say it is worth it. And I would do it all again. No more talk, here is what I treated my eyes with last here:

YK aka CS Dojo 📺🐦@ykdojo

It's official. @GrahamTheDev is FINALLY on the market for a developer advocate position. Who is he, you ask? He's the most qualified individual for pretty much any DevRel position - particularly on frontend, accessibility, and/or marketing-focused ones. Comment below if you agree (or disagree) 👇
