Spoke with more than 5 founders this week. Not a single one had engaged users before building 🤦 I told them to have fun

@darshan_ishu true innovation cannot rely on consumer feedback as consumers can only identify friction in things they already understand.

Nobody warns you about this👀 when building life-changing products: you spend an unhealthy amount of time trying to explain something people have never mentally modeled before and most of the times users aren’t confused because your product is bad they’re confused because their brain literally has no existing category for it

All kinds of ideas matter because they turn weekend ideas into products that change how we live, play, and connect. Distribution and discoverability is king 👑. Without it, these gems risk staying hidden. Here are 6 builders whose work feels perfect for a Saturday scroll 👇 @JckFine → Stevie AI: travel plans + rewards turned into assets. @DichanShrestha → Knowchat: onboarding made visual, not confusing text. @EchoLabsME → Autonomous Life Simulation — wonder “what if” in real time. @visonmilan → AI employees for B2B, scale without headcount. @Sharad_024 → Feedovate: ship fast with real user feedback. @Matt__makes → LeadsRover: find customers on Reddit. #IndieHackers #BuildInPublic

myth: if your saas isn’t growing, the product is the problem. reality: most founders don’t have a product problem. they have a distribution problem. your customers are already: → complaining on Reddit, → asking on X, → searching for alternatives. use it to your advantage.

One of the hardest parts of building a product isn’t coding. It’s figuring out whether people actually care about what you’re building. I remember talking to users, taking notes everywhere, bookmarking messages, saving screenshots, creating docs I never reopened. Everyone said listen to your users. Nobody explained how chaotic that process becomes when feedback starts coming from everywhere. That frustration slowly turned into Feedovate. A place where feedback doesn’t just get collected, it becomes clear, organized, and actionable. We’re not building for vanity metrics. We’re building so founders can stop guessing and start understanding users better.

Got my grade today. 17.5/20 on my first full-stack project. Should I be happy? Yes. Am I? Not entirely. I forgot to save my README before submitting. A beginner mistake that cost me points on a project I worked 2 months on. Lesson learned the hard way: The code matters. The documentation matters just as much. What's the most painful beginner mistake you've made on a project? 👇

Right now is the worst time to be a general coder. But it is the best time to be a real software engineer. Someone who understands system design, product thinking, business value, and clear communication. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
