I see that I’m being flamed for my comment here and I thought it was pretty clear that I was pushing back on the idea that the Avs weren’t tested in Round 1. Even though they swept, LA gave them a good fight, it wasn’t an easy series by any means. Saying they struggled was probably a poor choice of words, but I was pushing back on the idea that they weren’t tested at all. I’d say the same about Carolina and Ottawa, the Sens gave them a good fight.

Elliotte Friedman on 32TP this morning. Says it’s very clear that when you look at Sundin it’s clear he’s proud to be a Maple Leaf, he loves the team, the organization, he’s come back several times and spoken up in defence of the players and has talked about how much of a privilege it is to wear that jersey and represent the organization. It’s worth noting that the Kings do not have a 5-on-5 goal this series and in 54 minutes of ES time last night, couldn’t even muster up 1 expected goal (.89). It’s a different style, but it’s still effective.
