@NickBurns I hate diet soda. I don’t drink much soda, and when I do, I only drink the regular kind. But I try a lot of stuff once or twice, as I have in this case. Diet Coke and Coke Zero just taste wayyyy different. Coke Zero is the one that tastes like Coke. Diet Coke is the weird one.

They do give absolutely absurd advice and run their businesses like a clown car of their friends who aren't making them any money all while telling their kids to work like they did. They don't even give their kid the eff the dog job. The amount of absolute panic that runs through a boomer business when I'm doing an audit (to find money for advertising because they haven't done it in 30 years) and ask the guy's wife who is packing orders for $0 an hour what a guy being paid nearly 6 figures does and how much revenue it makes the company and the look in her eyes man lmao.

The most I’ve been ‘splained to about a subject I know a ton about where often THEY know I know more about the subject than they do, has universally been from left wing white women. I have been lectured about how I didn’t understand WW2 from a friend who knew I’d been obsessed with military history since age 4 when she couldn’t tell me what years the war was fought in.

Alright, I'm gonna say it. Forza Horizon is a racing franchise for people who don't like racing but think that they do. Shuttering Turn 10 and abandoning a beautiful racing sim like Motorsport for its cartoony cousin is just another symptom of the malignant nature of capitalism.

My friend fought in the second battle of fallujah, it scarred him deeply. Naturally, me and my brother made him play a game called 6 Days in Fallujah and it quickly became one of his favorite video games. Watching veterans play this game is always darkly comedic.

Interestingly, growing up, my family had a lived-in "formal" living room (the one without the TV). I was surprised when I went to certain friends' houses where the front room of the house was essentially a dusty, exhibit-like tomb.

My memories of rooms that look like the first two are that you're not allowed to Touch Anything. Rooms like that were curated like museum pieces and hardly felt functional or inviting, millennial minimalism is partially a reaction to how unpleasant it was to be in these types of rooms filled with an overabundance of expensive things that you're not actually allowed to interact with
