Having one EA running between several nonverbal students with ASD who also need toileting/feeding support and randomly run away and out into the street is becoming the norm across Ontario. Kids with unmet needs melting down is now the norm. #OntEd

Sources: FIFA wanted level 4 motorcade escort for its president while in Vancouver (ability to go through traffic lights). That’s 1 level below the pope - but on par with 🇺🇸 president - and higher than 🇨🇦 PM. The request was denied. #bcpoli @GlobalBC @CUrquhartGlobal

@glennbeck Don't you have enough problems in United States to bother what's going on in Canada ? After trashing and messing up every part of the world, why don't you just mind of your own business ?

Canada is not a democracy. It's not even a free nation anymore. How could it be when Parliament is sidelined for eight months, allowing the executive branch to reign unchecked? Or when foreign interference is ignored and elections are gamed? Or when courts rule that the government broke the law and nothing changes? Or when the state controls your speech, your property, your energy, your news, your guns, your healthcare—and offers you assisted suicide when the wait times get too long? Canada has become something else: a managed oligarchy with democratic trappings, where the individual exists to serve the state. Look how far Canada has fallen. Because this could be America's future overnight.

I’ve always known I was a multitasker, but I didn't think I’d be setting a personal record today. 🏆 My husband informs me he’s gotta step out for a "bathroom break." No big deal, right? Except I’m currently in active labor. So, naturally, I did what any competitive person would do: I timed him. ⏱️ The Results: Husband: 11 minutes and 18 seconds in the bathroom. Me: 7 minutes of pushing to deliver a whole 8 lb baby girl. 👶 I officially delivered a human being faster than he could finish a bathroom break. If that isn’t the ultimate "efficiency" award, I don't know what is! Men really be in there like they're solving world peace, meanwhile, we’re out here setting Olympic records in the delivery room. Moms, what’s the wildest thing your partner did while you were in labor? Let’s hear the stories!

BREAKING - I just received a call from a Stelco employee in Hamilton, Ontario. That person advised me that he was present when Mark Carney visited the Stelco Steel Plant in Hamilton, Ontario on March 29th, 2026. They advised that when Mark Carney was asked what he would do in the face of an Alberta Independence vote Mark Carney replied that: “There will be no Alberta Independence because I’ll invoke the Emergencies Act.” This was not reported by any mainstream media outlet who were present. It demonstrates that Mark Carney has zero respect for the rule of law, the Constitution of Canada, The Supreme Court of Canada or the Parliament of Canada. This should surprise no one. #AlbertaIndependence

A female journalist challenges Doug Ford. Asks tough questions. Does her job. And then she’s gone. We don’t have all the details yet. But when reporting holds political leaders accountable, and the fallout lands on the journalist instead of the people in power… people are going to ask questions. Because this isn’t happening in a vacuum. Women in journalism are already: Targeted more. Doubted more. Attacked more. So when one of them disappears right as things get uncomfortable you don’t get to tell the public not to question it. No one is above scrutiny. Not journalists. And not politicians either. If everything is above board, transparency shouldn’t be a problem. @CityNewsTO @fordnation

I am no longer employed by CityNews. I am proud of my journalism at CityNews and I stand by my reporting. I will have more to say on this later but for now please stay tuned and thank you for those who have supported me.

Canada built bridges for bears, and it worked better than anyone expected. The Trans-Canada Highway cuts through Banff National Park for 82 kilometers. For decades it was a killing field. Animals on one side couldn't reach animals on the other, which fragmented populations and cut off migration routes. Starting in 1996, Parks Canada built 44 wildlife crossing structures, along with fencing to guide animals toward them. Critics called it a waste of money. Editorials said animals would never use them. They were wrong. Since monitoring began, animals have used the crossings more than 250,000 documented times. Wolves, grizzly bears, elk, moose, cougars, wolverines, lynx, bighorn sheep. Wildlife-vehicle collisions dropped 80% overall. It took grizzlies about five years to trust the structures. Elk tested them while they were still under construction. Every species had its own preference. Grizzlies and elk liked the wide open overpasses. Cougars and black bears preferred the narrow tunnels. This is now the longest-running wildlife crossing research program in the world. Delegations have come from China, Mongolia, Costa Rica, and Argentina to copy the model. Is your state building these?

The U.S. is not the biggest contributor to NATO. You’re listing the entire American military budget. NATO spending is measured as a share of GDP, and by that metric, Poland leads the alliance at 4.48%, followed by Lithuania and Latvia. The U.S. comes in well down the list. Yes, in raw dollar terms the U.S. represents roughly two-thirds of NATO’s total annual defence spending , but that figure conflates America’s global military posture with its NATO commitment. The Pentagon budget funds operations in the Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, and dozens of other theatres that have nothing to do with NATO. Counting all of it as a “NATO contribution” is like billing your neighbours for your entire home security system because they live on the same street. Norway, has surpassed the United States in defence spending per capita. In 2025, all 32 NATO allies met or exceeded the 2% of GDP target, while European allies and Canada collectively achieved a 20% increase in defence spending compared to 2024. The “America pays for everyone” narrative is a Russian propaganda talking point, not an accounting fact.

The 3 coolest parts about Canadian money as an American who’s here for the first time are the holographic transparent parts, different colors for each denomination making it simple to tell them apart and of course the current exchange rate 💰 P.S. You don’t really need cash here
