@SSBGyromight @MVD731 I mean I'm not sure I agree. Sexual assault is one of the most common violent crimes and one of the most underreported. I think it's fair to wonder that, but the rates at which it occurs within the scene actually seem fairly consistent with societal rates and patterns

What I really struggle to understand here is how this keeps coming up in the Smash community. Obviously stuff like this happens everywhere but I feel like Smash is the only place where I see it THIS often. What about our scene attracts people like this? Something’s gotta change.

Trying to strategically avoid being stuck into guessing only one letter is part of the strategy of hard mode wordle, being stuck with only one letter wrong is not exactly common unless you are bad/unlucky and rarely if ever does this happen

@kevin_inalberta the current political climate is not great, I just think that separation would not solve issues. If anything it just pushes the issues away onto another country which would be one of the 2 countries we share borders with and one of our closest geograpgical and political allies.

@kevin_inalberta Just like how Albertan separatists for example are also fully within their rights to advocate for separation and hold a referendum, just as First Nations' groups are within their rights to challenge whether or not holding a referendum is constitutional given federal land treaties

@kevin_inalberta Recognizing a vote is an entirely different concept. Pushing for separation from Alberta would be entirely within the rights of the citizens that has nothing to do with whether or not they recognized the vote for secession.

@QZypher leading a fulfilling life outside of smash is a massive nerf to your competitive ability usually (not that a life focused around smash cannot be fulfilling and worth pursuing to be clear) but it's also just goated to find something you love to spend your time doing in general

getting a girlfriend is the single biggest nerf a smash player can ever have and I have fallen victim. I must keep grinding. chicken alfredo and walmart salad for dinner the other night

@Bombslide @NickDistrict14 also both late aerials and tomohawk grab lose to this btw so not a viable option, you need to add in an extra layer of some rising aerials to truly make it work but then you're playing a more complicated guessing game than the opponent with worse tools usually.

@Bombslide @NickDistrict14 to explain how it's punishable, Wii Fit short hop fast fall is 29 frames which is bottom 16 in the game. it takes ~15 frames for the average person to react to visual stimuli, leaving them 13 frames to punish before your aerial comes out if it's hitting on the last frame
