Hate him or love him, Yanis Varoufakis was someone everyone listened back at the Austerity Years in Greece. Sharp, with humor, explained complex ideas around economics for us. He never was afraid of new ideas, that's why he ran Valve's in-Game Economics. But I never understood why he was so against Bitcoin. Now it makes sense. For the first time he admits he had at some point 2000 bitcoins, implies he early mined them with CPU. Bitcoins that he donated away because he didn't agree ideologically with the project. Now it all makes sense.
