🚨EXCLUSIVE Newcastle United have rejected an approach from Tottenham Hotspur for Italy international Sandro Tonali. The figure discussed was nowhere near matching asking price and was swiftly rejected. Discussion happened earlier this week. There has been no follow up as things stand #nufc

These never stop. Yes the rules are scewed to help the big sides, but you don’t have spend fortunes and fortunes to compete. We spent circa 165m on 14 players (av. £12m ish) and were the 7th best team in the league, these spent circa 200m on 4 piles of shite finishing 12th.
Kris.⚫️⚪️@hoothoot81

PSR completely fuked the Premier League! Day after splurging £35m on a bench warming winger they bid for another at £90m & I bet they aren’t finished at that! The absolute unfairness with the system is disgusting! Who cares what there revenue is it’s not a level playing field!

@Daviddbrownn22 @Chris_p18 What a load of nonsense. Recruitment was pretty flawless until last summer. Statistically you will get some wrong. All the Sky 6 do too. Difference is they can just dust off, go and spend again. And Woltemade was such a flop he scored more goals than any SAFC player?

@Chris_p18 What rules? You spent £70m on woltemade and £60m on wissa that have both flopped. It’s not the premier leagues fault your recruitment has been so poor. Isak left for wages you wouldn’t pay him, it’s always been about money

@AdamJoseph Agreed - but should Anderson communicate he wants Utd as per our Transfer Policy do we negotiate a fair price? Something that Utd always did in Glory Day was get the best in the EPL: RVP, Rio, Berbatov, Teves, Carrick and most times it worked. We missed Kane and Rice.

Manchester United have played this brilliantly with Elliot Anderson. It is apparent they had moved on from him for a while once they knew the ridiculous asking price, but have stayed in it long enough to force City into paying full freight & break the transfer record for him anyway. Better yet, Marinakis could go completely insane, rejects all bids & then draws it out so he ends up staying at Forest. Now United just have to go finish the job by finding far better value in the market, sign Mateus Fernandes & make their money stretch far better than this deal. Comes a point where the juice isn’t worth the squeeze & we are well past that.
David Ornstein@David_Ornstein

🚨 Manchester City verbal proposal to Nottingham Forest for Elliot Anderson was worth £106m + add-ons, taking it above £120m. #NFFC want British record fee guaranteed, not after bonuses. No fresh talks with #MCFC over 23yo England midfielder @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/73353…

@bethTmufc @UnitedStandMUFC If you want to taken seriously and be credible you’d link your sources when you talk about journalists. By not doing so you remain the second rate clickbait trash that is everything wrong with reporting.

@UnitedStandMUFC I’m very sorry to the newcastle fans i’ve upset here… But journalists have literally reported that Lewis Hall could push for a move ? So i’m not making ANYTHING up. & as for £40 million ( upon reflection it is low based on his quality & £55 is probably about right )

@LukeEdwardsTele All these nonsense posts about Isak like it’s the same thing. It took a British record of £125M to see him leave. Unless Man United are starting the conversation at £70M then nothing is happen whether the player wants an contract extension, stay or move on. Talk of £50M laughable

On Lewis Hall. Newcastle are aware of talk in the media about Manchester United interest but have not had any contact with the club and have not been told the player wants to leave. Asked what the situation with Hall is the reply I received was “there is no situation.” Very early days in the summer. More to follow I’m sure #nufc

@TheBionicDam @ronaldobrownn_ I would certainly consider it. But the role you are offering me doesn’t give me any of those things so I decline. Maybe the company did years ago but not anymore.

@conanjal @ronaldobrownn_ Would you stay at your current job if an offer comes up that triples your salary, gets you more opportunities and is overall a better platform for your career, just cos where your currently is “special “? No. Football is a job and players have ambitions.

Newcastle fans hear news every summer about every one of their good players being linked with moves away BECAUSE their agents shop them around every summer. That's the reason... TOO many clubs they can upgrade to. It's just the Foodchain, and you can't match the mula £££.
b.@IvXv

@UTD_Rick @ronaldobrownn_ If you believe everything you read on here, we’d have no players left going into next season😅 summer news is always wild.

@Lambert1Jordan @405Automation Failing or not PSR (which no longer matters after this season) isn’t the same as a club losing money which is what you are trying to portray. Only one of us trying to paint something that it isn’t true.

Just exactly how screwed are we financially? Does anyone actually know? If we have to sell a Tonali/Livramento on top of Gordon and Willock, just to make additions, how on earth does the squad move forward? #nufc

@Lambert1Jordan @405Automation Nice creative mathematics. A single season accounting figure in isolation doesn’t mean the club is consistently losing £2m a week. The club wasn’t losing money. It was spending money. There is a massive difference.

@405Automation You were losing over £2m per week before selling the stadium. Selling the stadium is good for PSR or SCR or whatever it is now but the underlying problem is still there.

@Plettigoal This is a reminder for some United fans who want Eddie Howe at Man United. I wonder how you were desperate to get a striker and change your mind in second to stop playing the player after you've gotten him. Man management in the gutter if you ask me.

🚨⚫️⚪️ If Nick Woltemade’s playing time does not change, a move in the summer cannot be ruled out. However, his main goal is to stay. He feels comfortable and has a good relationship with Eddie Howe. #NUFC He has enquiries. However, FC Bayern were not interested in him until before the second leg against PSG. 🇩🇪

@BD__Coach @fewpints As for the ruining other teams academies I feel you maybe have a personal issue and impact so fair enough. But I think your issue is the system rather than the club who are able to exploit it. I hope you get the change you are looking for but I doubt that sadly will be likely

@conanjal @fewpints It comes from first of all your club selling it's soul to Saudi. Secondly, your whole fanbase cries about losing Anderson to suit FFP while simultaneously not giving proper chances to other players AND exploiting the same rules to invest and ruin other academy teams and players

@BD__Coach @fewpints What exactly does the first part actually mean though? Not rhetoric and buzzwords. What soul has been sold to the Saudis? As for the second part - I think many fans are keen to see more Academy players make the first team. I certainly am. Hopefully Neave and Shahar soon.

@BD__Coach @fewpints Absolutely. Both clubs do. They developed them. Keepers plays full games or they don’t. The minutes is a skewed statistic. Both clubs develop talent. Newcastle only didn’t when youth was not the focus. Don’t get your hate now the club are focusing on it money or otherwise

@conanjal @fewpints So if Newcastle deserve the credit for Miley & Anderson then Sunderland, my your logic, deserve the credit for Pickford. You choose.

@BD__Coach @fewpints Pickford played 33 games for Sunderland in 6 years and had 6 loans. Anderson played 44 games for Newcastle in 3 years and 1 loan. But Sunderland deserve all the deserve all the credit? Lewis Miley the youngest ever PL player to 50 appearances.

@fewpints 1. I actually do more scouting than coaching so maybe you're right. I should change my handle 2. Your clubs record for promoting local talent is dreadful. Booted out your best ever product in Anderson for FFP meanwhile Sunderland have Pickford and Henderson as England mainstays
