It’s complicated. Yes . US cannot go bankrupt UNTIL USD is reserve currency of the world . Because we can just export money in exchange of goods and services, which we have been doing.but if world stops using USD as reserve currency then money won’t be exported as much and will stay in country which will blow up inflation , devalue currency and that will eat up purchasing power of people which will bankrupt them.
