@DeivonDrago @conscienceetvie @anitaleirfall Trumbull, drawing on Bergson, is arguing that psychological / experiential time (duration, memory) is primary, & the geometric time of physics is a derived representation. Rejecting the naive idea that “time is a dimension you move through” treating that as a symbol, not ontology

Leading theories of memory describe it as being stored in the brain—similarly to the way computers store memory. But this assumption relies on materialist assumptions and bypasses the hard problem of consciousness. Memory is not stored in space but in time iai.tv/articles/memor…

@YaffFesh @anitaleirfall It’s not stored in time either, doesn’t make sense for something to be “stored” in time — I didn’t use that phraseology!

Glad you agree! But let’s push the metaphor further: The sonata isn't stored in the piano keys, but neither is it stored in "Time". It persists in the tuning of the strings and the skill of the pianist (the system's structure). In my model (DWT), memory is that structural "tuning" — a Crystallized Pattern held in the Now, shaping the next note. No "Time-Box" needed.

Its both Matter is a more stable form then, say pure photonic, cause sometimes the spacetime side can get damaged, and the matter side can reboot it And sometimes the matter side can get a little bit damaged. And the space time side can hold on to everything and pass the info back to the matter side I do like where you're going with this, though

@anitaleirfall Memory does not work without time - -that is correct. But also a bit trivial. And in our - bodies! - - it becomes necessarily - spatial. Also a bit banal... Sigh.
