Reiterated India’s condemnation of the violation of Oman’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and appreciated Oman’s efforts to facilitate the safe return of thousands of people, including Indian nationals. India and Oman stand for safe and free navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.

It's a shame that only American citizens vote in the US presidential election. Ideally, every person on earth should have a say in who becomes a US President because the US president seems to have a say in how people live anywhere. If Trump can throw every country off balance with his actions, citizens of every country should have a vote in deciding who they want to be ordering around wars. Wild.

Not understanding a policy is not justification for attacking it. There is no “row back” on settlement. The period is extending from 5 to 10 years. As has always been the case, and explained consistently, we have just closed a consultation that considers transitional arrangements and potential exemptions. Further decisions are currently being made after the 200k responses are analysed. I am in the Home Office to deliver for the country, these changes are needed given the unmanageable pace and scale of change we have seen, we are preventing 1.6 million having access to the already buckling welfare system, over a short period of time. None of this means we do not value contribution of migrants, quite the opposite. The new system will reward contribution and integration. Polling shows that the changes we are making are popular, because they are necessary. We said we’d put country first before the election, that is what we are doing.

If we want the best brains in the world like the US, we need to encourage this. I came in as an immigrant so many years ago, I have paid over a 100k in tax over the years. I am sure there are people back then who would have thought I would aim for welfare. If we need to compete globally, we need laws that encourages the best of the best in the world. We lagging in AI, Military Tech, Manufacturing amongst others. How would they be encouraged to come. Dubai and Singapore are literally bribing Expats. No one genuinely love it there.
