the fakest person in this house

My wife was 22 and I was 23 when we married. We eventually had 8 children. Our 20s were marked by Boomer generation “advisors” at the grocery store, events, restaurants, and stores WARNING us not to have more children. They openly pitied us for having 3+ children. Boomer women thought my wife was being oppressed by her husband. At an Outback, a man openly told me “I feel sorry for you for having those kids.” Many Boomers were brainwashed to perceive having children “as a bad thing.” Worst of all, they felt empowered to insult a young couple in the presence of our children. Meanwhile, these people were in favor of importing the entire Third World into America for the sake of GDP. What a strange moment in American history.

Disagree. THIS is the dress that changed a generation

Millennial women were you cucumber melon or sweet pea

this is actually so devastating😭

Example of society not built for mothers who take (daytime) care of their kids: Children's hospital tells me I cannot bring my (medically fragile) baby to my 3-year-old's cardiologist appointment, nor can I bring my 3-year-old to my baby's ortho appointment there. So I need...a babysitter (3ish hour chunks) for both, so 6 hours x $25/hr. $150 of care, all for what reason exactly? I can manage my kids at drs appointments! And it is safer for my baby to stay with me vs. someone who doesn't know his medical specifics. My toddler went with me to every OB appointment when I was pregnant with his brother. We managed. Another example: climbing gym kicked out my husband and 3-year-old yesterday because he didn't fit their min age requirement (even though he was well-supervised and has been to climbing gyms in TX, Costa Rica, Guatemala). Said gym also requires 1:1 chaperone to climber ratio for kids ages 5-7; so what do you do if you have multiple kids? Stupid rules.
