Is it me or has ‘Gamecock Twitter’ been more fun recently since all the teams suck because folks are talking about more interesting topics instead. Just something I’ve noticed. (Don’t hate me. I root for the gamecocks even if they don’t win a game but this is just an observation I’ve noticed following a let down football season with a underwhelming basketball and now baseball season)

Paul Mainieri needs to pull a Spurrier. Spurrier knew when to hang it up and ppl call him a quitter because of it but I bet the same ppl wouldn't hold it against Mainieri. Its time. PM is a good man and legend, but u can see the defeat in his face. The game has passed him.

Can someone explain why some 10 year old needs to travel hundreds of miles for competition that they almost certainly could have found locally? Travel leagues for youth sports should be banned.

If you were told that if Carolina loses to Charlotte and gets swept by Arkansas that Mainieri gets fired, would you openly pull for them to lose? I’m not saying I would, I’m just curious to see where the desperation is at this point to get him out of the dugout.
