@JasTheTweeter @HM_Passport I called Newport HMPO (01633 285419) as Liverpool are currently doing sweet FA. Newport were really helpful (but sadly they didn’t have my passport, Liverpool did) and put the request to Liverpool but I’ve had no follow up from them :( Good luck

@HM_Passport emergency travel request in wed, evidence sent, no response since. Really helpful person from Newport HMPO put in a call back request this morning which apparently takes up to 48 hrs -that would be 5 days and counting since the request (N.B appn orig sent 2nd Sept)

@HM_Passport @Feagil I sent a DM, HMPO finally replied & asked me to send an email which I did. Emergency travel request in 14th Oct & no comms/action since. If no one responds to messages then I will indeed send a follow up. Maybe if HMPO actually did something I wouldn’t have to keep messaging?

#hmpassport @HM_Passport Documents received by you since 16 sep. No progress on application. We chat closed. All phone numbers off the hook. You are way behind your 10 days to return original documents we need them back to travel!

@HM_Passport I’m still waiting for a response to an emergency travel request please. 4 days now (orig application 2nd Sept). I’m desperate and nothing is happening. Have emailed/phoned/replied to DM’s and no response.

Don’t book travel without a valid passport. Apply early, and apply online – it’s the easiest and cheapest way to get your British passport. Do it now at: gov.uk/renewpassport

What more can I do?! Please help. 5 days plus processing time etc does not constitute an emergency timeline. It’s way too slow. @AbiTierney @HM_Passport @BorisJohnson

I had to travel to Spain to see my father who is elderly and unwell - have had to leave my daughter behind. @HM_Passport are you going to reply to emails or DM’s - this is getting beyond a joke. @AbiTierney @kevin_j_foster @BorisJohnson

@cornishpixie80 @HM_Passport Exactly the same! emergency request sent 12 October, it has not even been read! We fly tomorrow. Others who have docs received 24 sept at Bootle have been approved, mine ‘application in process’ fly tomorrow with 15 passenger my daughter only passenger without passport

@HM_Passport Any chance you could get someone to reply to either the Twitter DM or emails I have sent? It truly is an emergency - not sure what your timelines for emergency are but it’s been 3 days so far and that isn’t quick enough for an emergency in my mind! Please get someone to respond!!

After an hour and a half on hold (and two weeks waiting for an email response, now 4 weeks after my original complaint) @HM_Passport just hung up on me by accident. What's the chance of getting someone to call me back *soon*?

@HM_Passport unsurprisingly poor show from you - still nothing. Also, to note when I said no movement in 3 weeks I meant from you receiving the old passport. Please sort this ASAP. Is anyone actually working? @AbiTierney @kevin_j_foster
