I now have TLBs, I-cache, D-cache, memory arbiter, gshare BPU, RAS, UART, BRAM, and a Linux-capable RISC-V SoC. I still have to extend the peripherals, improve the memory controller, optimize everything, blah blah blah…

Don’t worry, I work on my pipeline CPU, but most of the time I just do bmx stuff in my spare time too.

Things I thought I'd never do: Write code that disassembles the executable segment of all loaded modules at runtime, finds all inter-library calls and jumps to functions which we want to hook, and determines the type of hook to be used for these automatically.

Remember this GPU blob from yesterday? I figured it out! It's... RGB⇔YUV conversion coefficients. And they're wrong! There are strange rounding errors and I think the ranges aren't calculated properly. So we don't need to copy Apple's blob *and* we can do better! ✨
