This is one of my favorite things about vibe coding that I think a lot of people miss.
It used to be that the small independent operator (the guy grinding stumps, running a skid, doing tree work) couldn’t afford the tools locked behind $2k+ per month industry SaaS platforms. So they’d cobble together cheaper tools, build janky spreadsheets, or pull out a calculator and scribble quotes on a notepad.
Then as they grew and finally could afford the expensive software, they’d “unlock” the tools that let them compete with bigger companies.
Now someone like Kurt can just… build it. For basically nothing. Then turn around and give it away to other operators who need it, because he knows how hard it is to not have access to it.
That’s a purpose I can get behind.
Everyone is focused on building massive industry tier platforms, but they’re missing the opportunity right in front of them:
making simple, extremely valuable tools that small business never had access to before.
You don’t need to chase the $50M company. You can help the people just trying to keep the bills paid that were locked out by an insurmountable paywall.
That feels like the far more interesting and rewarding path.

The stump grinding estimator I built used to be CRM-only. I just made a free public version anyone can use. The CRM version is still better because it’s customizable and turns into a text/email estimate instantly, but this is handy too. Link in reply.

we use customer io for this, and it's not cold email outreach
it's just emails we send to people who sign up on the site
I have multiple sequences running and then weekly email blasts
welcoem sequence, upsells, downselss, cancel sequences etc

dear idea guy,
i joined tempo 1 month ago to solve one big problem you had...

Poor people love to make this weird association: Having money = bad moral, wrong priorities Don’t you know almost ALL of the most spiritual people in history experienced abundance? Here we go, finally time to announce what is next on my business agenda! 🚨
Read this in entirety, it’s well worth it if you have a service business or if you’re interested as a whole. I’m going to break this down in number format for easier reading.
1. Throughout the last 2 years, I started a house cleaning company from absolutely nothing and grew it to $1,000,000 in sales within less than 2 years. We now have roughly $65,000 in monthly recurring revenue and have virtually eliminated our paid advertising spend.
2. A MASSIVE portion of this success is owed to the time that I have put into growing our Facebook page and utilizing local Facebook groups.
NOT Facebook ads - this is strictly organic Facebook posting (completely free) in multiple Facebook groups that are available for just about every single smaller city within a larger service metro/area.
Think about each of these Facebook groups as a dedicated community meeting spot for those looking for recommendations.
HINT: If you’re a business owner, this is where your lightbulb should be flashing! 💡

I always push people to run ads to validate ideas.
You can only send so many cold DMS a day. You can only hop on so many calls. You can only network with so many people.
Run ads first.
If cold traffic works, selling it to a warm audience will be a piece of cake.
