@aakashgupta Makes no sense why Plaid would charge data fees to Mint but not Perplexity. What am I missing?

Perplexity just casually rebuilt Mint. Mint died in March 2024 after 15 years because Plaid's data fees made every free user unprofitable. Intuit dumped 3.6 million users onto Credit Karma, which didn't even have budgeting. Now Perplexity connects the same Plaid APIs, pulls the same transaction data, and offers the same spending tracking. The math works this time because nobody's signing up for Perplexity to budget. They're signing up for search. Finance is a retention feature on a $20/month subscription, not a standalone product bleeding money on every API call. That's the structural reason AI companies keep eating vertical SaaS. The AI product already has the user and the subscription. Adding a vertical costs one Plaid integration. Building the vertical from scratch costs acquiring millions of users who won't pay. Mint spent 15 years trying to make personal finance a business. Perplexity made it a Tuesday afternoon feature launch.

They are literally fouling in their press on EVERY possession, but not being called. Meanwhile, UTSA is getting called for every ticky tack contact. So not only do opponents need to play against UCONN but apparently they need to also fight the refs.

I’m watching this UCONN vs UTSA 1st round game and now understand why the Huskies are undefeated. It’s not that their scrubs are good, but that they apparently have paid off the refs this entire season.

There is no site that gives you instant access to millions of potential eyeballs + the fact that they take care of collecting and remitting sales tax as well as cover int’l shipping costs is under appreciated.

Why don’t we ever discuss UCLA’s conference? UConn has played and beaten 4 teams in their conference,3 being in the top 5 of that conference.

So if princeton had gone undefeated in the regular season would they be a #1 seed?or would they be penalized for playing in the Ivy League? The seeds should be a reward for how you played during the regular season and UCLA had more success against a tougher schedule than UConn.

@TaliaGoodmanWBB Finally someone with common sense. There is absolutely zero chance that a team with 2 WNBA players will beat one with 7 WNBA players especially when Betts/Rice will completely neutralize Strong/Fudd. I’d be shocked if that game was even within 10 pts.

The No. 2 team in the country just beat the No. 9 team in the country by 51 points. The gap between tiers this year is very large. And I may be changing my tune on the No. 1 overall seed…
