@Tim_Vickery Depends - big drawback is that it's slower to access the info in them plus they're not easy to browse like texts are

Why, apparently, do British people hate voice notes? Brazil lives on them - and they're so useful

@TheAthleticFC He can't be as effective in a team centred on Haaland. His numbers would've been twice what they are if he has an Aguero to do combos with in the final third.

Phil Foden has signed a new four-year contract at Manchester City that will keep him at the club until 2030, with an option to extend by a further 12 months. After two difficult seasons for the midfielder, so difficult in fact that this new contract does represent something of a leap of faith, there will be hope that the midfielder has put his problems behind him and can get back to his best form. He was spectacular in the final months of the 2023-24 season and was named footballer of the year as a result, but he has only fleetingly replicated those performances since. @pukicho They can afford to do that on a one off basis - not a general basis. Not hard to understand.

Whenever u cancel a subscription and then they offer you that last-ditch 50% off BS in an attempt to keep you on board, I’m always reminded that the entire pricing model for subscriptions is dictated by thin-fucking air, and they can change it on a whim when it conveniences them.

i think a lot about that guy in the early 1900s who went to bosnia to the last illiterate communities in europe and found out they were still reciting homer epic-length poems to each other from memory. but when they became literate they lost the ability to remember the poems

@Romain_Molina African federations aren't following him because they're 'docile', it's because a 64 team world cup is in their interests, lol. Same for most other regions to be honest - i can only see europe objecting.

@DougieCritchley Netherlands weren't 'vastly' inferior to Spain in 2010, though. Going by actual clear chances, they really should've won that match.

It’s crazy how similar this tournament is to 2010… Spain win the competition, after failing to win their first game… Triumphing in the final, with an extra-time goal against vastly inferior opposition, that cannot live with their possession based style and who resort to violent behaviour in an effort to stop them!

@KiingDru @premierleague Busquets also played beside Xavi and Iniesta and in front a defence with Ramos, Puyol, Carvajal etc. Far superior individuals. Busquets was never the main main.

@SurreyStandards @JamesHorncastle She wasn't even denied though? And I don't what you've been reading, but it's total nonsense - the 1st amendment has never been stronger legally.

You’d hope this isn’t a consequence of Gazzetta running a double-page spread calling the World Cup a disaster yesterday. Shameful if so when FIFA hosts the World Cup in a nation with first amendment rights like the US…

It’s over. After 38 days, 11 live games, 165 articles for @Gazzetta_it My #WorldCup comes to an abrupt and unexpected end just before the final. This morning I had a ticket for the final, plus mixed zone and parking, a few hours later they’ve all been cancelled. Fifa told us…

Eze already knew where pressure was. The final scan just confirmed it, dictating his next touch away from it. One more diagonal touch influences Rabiot, opening the reverse pass against momentum. Morgan & Saka’s countermovement is the cherry on top.

@JenniH21600466 @dinosaurs1969 No, they should go to the shelters most people provide instead of taking over space that belongs to the public. The ones that don't go to shelters make that decision because shelters don't allow them to do drugs, which most of them are on.

@JayVtid Arsenal and Chelsea in completely different places. Price might be worth it for Chelsea who need an injection of quality badly, but probably not for Arsenal whose need for Rogers isn't that desperate.
