None of us are adversaries. We want safe resource officers. We want safe students. We want safe Republicans and safe Democrats. We all want to go home to our families to have dinner table conversations.

Instead of answering our pleads to give reports on school safety after huge mass shootings, Board Member sent police on us saying “Officers, I don’t have to deal with this.” You ask, what were we saying? We yelled out “Please update us on safety!”, “You know better than this!”.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Tonight Board Member Randy Scamihorn sent the police to confront us after the Cobb County Board of Education Meeting.

“We need a school board that actually represents Cobb County, acts in the best interests of Cobb County students, and gives fair representation to communities of color.”👏👏👏

@therecount @AOC @BeckyPringle It is ironic that the US has a limited # days in shooting seasons for wildlife, deer, ducks, geese, etc, yet there is an open season all year long on students and it's citizens. It is apparent that the value of wildlife is more important than the value of human life in the US!!!

We’ve been asking @CobbSchools about the $5.3 million @AlertPoint1 system since it’s breach in February 2021. That’s when we uncovered the system didn’t operate as promised.

HERE ARE SOME ANSWERS FOR YOU: Don't let teens buy guns. Pass a federal background check requirement. Pass a federal red flag law. Close the Charleston loophole. Confirm an ATF director. Fund community violence intervention programs. Stop taking NRA money. Uvalde

Eva Mireles. The 4th grade teacher who was murdered in Uvalde, Texas today. From her aunt, Lydia Martinez Delgado: "I'm furious that these shooting continue, these children are innocent, rifles should not be easily available to all."

Our bodies are not designed to absorb and process this much violence, loss, and grief.
