If you are waiting around for the LLMs to get good enough, you are going to get smoked. The models are good enough. The bottleneck is that nobody has built the architecture for AI to operate within. The people who build it first win. Not because they're smarter. Because they built the system.

So Anthropic is going Apple mode when it comes to model + harness closed ecosystem while OpenAI remains open and will be effectively like Android? Seems like they will just eat the market for alt harnesses and associated API calls

considering @tbpn got acquired averaging 40-70k viewers per episode, while Joe Rogan's spotify deal was $200M shows one thing: completely dominating the right niche is higher ROI than millions of broad viewership

Do you think we are losing critical thinking skills because of AI?

One day — month 6, maybe month 9 — you look up and realize you have all the pieces. The 30-step monthly close that took two days? Half the steps are automated. You didn't get there by trying to boil the ocean. You got there one automation at a time, in the gaps of your actual day job.

This is the new literacy. Not knowing how to prompt. Knowing how to build the architecture that makes prompting irrelevant.

This 19-year-old dropped out to mass-scan 14,000 Polymarket wallets with Claude. His mom thinks he works at Starbucks. Last week he texted me at 4am: "The bot won't stop printing." His idea was simple: "Whales already know the answer. I just need to watch all of them at once." He asked Claude to build a system that: → Scans 14,000 wallets in real-time → Flags when multiple whales enter the same position → Auto-copies the highest-conviction plays He calls it "Wallet Hunter." 30 days in: → 47 trades executed → 91.2% hit rate → +$4,800 profit → Sharpe ratio: 2.6 Use for copytrade bot: @lunar" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">kreo.app/@lunar Claude doesn't just copy wallets. It scores every wallet on win rate, ROI, and timing. When 3+ top wallets enter the same market within minutes - that's a signal. The craziest trade: 5 whale wallets all bought the same market within 6 minutes. Claude flagged 94% confidence. Market was at 0.42. Resolved at 1.00. +$1,200 from one signal. His mom called Sunday asking about his "barista job." He was watching 14,000 wallets stream across his screen while Claude auto-executed a trade in the background. No degree. No job. Just Claude and 14,000 wallets.

@BoringBiz_ The number of times I see people asking for help on Reddit to do something technical in excel that can EASILY be solved and fixed by Claude still surprises me. Some people are going to be completely left behind.

The only skill that matters now is agency If you are high agency, you will figure out how to utilize AI tools to make yourself more productive and valuable If you need to be told what to do, good luck surviving in a world where someone can just ask an LLM instead

What if Anthropic's plan to profitability is: > Launch Claude Code > Make it easy for people who can't code to build apps > Everyone loves it > Ship new features every week > Every new feature burns through more credits > Users hit their credit limits faster > Soon their entire business runs on Claude > Then raise prices a lot > Everyone forced to pay otherwise their business dies > They can't leave because they don't know how to code > Anthropic revenue increases by 10x overnight They're not selling an AI tool They're selling a dependency Genius

TBPN has been acquired by OpenAI! The show is staying the same and we’ll continue to go live at 11am pacific every weekday. This is a full circle moment for me as I’ve worked with @sama for well over a decade. He funded my first company in 2013. Then helped us fix a serious logjam during a critical funding round a few years later. When I took my second company through YC, he was president at the time, and then when I joined Founders Fund, the first deal I saw in motion was the post-ChatGPT round in late 2022. And as we started growing TBPN last year, he was the very first lab lead to join the show. Thank you to everyone that has been a part of TBPN until now. The last year has been the most fun and rewarding part of my career and we’re excited to have more resources than ever going forward.

@lennysan Really well said -- when I first started using openclaw it was hard to explain to folks that there's a different kind of mental sweat break keeping all these plates spinning in the air. It's going to take some time for that understanding to permeate into broader work culture.

"Using coding agents well is taking every inch of my 25 years of experience as a software engineer, and it is mentally exhausting. I can fire up four agents in parallel and have them work on four different problems, and by 11am I am wiped out for the day. There is a limit on human cognition. Even if you're not reviewing everything they're doing, how much you can hold in your head at one time. There's a sort of personal skill that we have to learn, which is finding our new limits. What is a responsible way for us to not burn out, and for us to use the time that we have?" @simonw

"Using coding agents well is taking every inch of my 25 years of experience as a software engineer." Simon Willison (@simonw) is one of the most prolific independent software engineers and most trusted voices on how AI is changing the craft of building software. He co-created Django, coined the term "prompt injection," and popularized the terms "agentic engineering" and "AI slop." In our in-depth conversation, we discuss: 🔸 Why November 2025 was an inflection point 🔸 The "dark factory" pattern 🔸 Why mid-career engineers (not juniors) are the most at risk right now 🔸 Three agentic engineering patterns he uses daily: red/green TDD, thin templates, hoarding 🔸 Why he writes 95% of his code from his phone while walking the dog 🔸 Why he thinks we're headed for an AI Challenger disaster 🔸 How a pelican riding a bicycle became the unofficial benchmark for AI model quality Listen now 👇 youtu.be/wc8FBhQtdsA

New Anthropic research: Emotion concepts and their function in a large language model. All LLMs sometimes act like they have emotions. But why? We found internal representations of emotion concepts that can drive Claude’s behavior, sometimes in surprising ways.
