@thetrainline hi there! I have booked train tickets to Manchester in June. I now require only the return to be refunded to me but the app isn’t clear when I go through the refund process whether my outbound ticket will still be valid. Can you advise please?

@thetrainline Thank you! I’ve filled it in - I’m looking to refund the inbound trip from Man to Edi on Sun 2 June but the app isn’t clear to me when I go through the refund process that I will still have the outbound ticket to use. I can only seem to request to refund the entire trip.

@DavidLloydUK hi there are you aware your app is currently broken? I am on iOS 17.1.1 and your app version is 125.0.1. It’s properly broken - couldn’t access timetable so re-downloaded and now I can’t even log in. Any other way I can book classes while you fix it? Thanks

@crabbitcopy Any pair of pliers should do the job if it can't be unscrewed with fingers as the gripping parts are always mercifully large! I think they're actually designed just to be finger tight and so accommodate fat fingers.

Morning Twitter! I am having a bit of a nightmare trying to book a funeral tea near Mortonhall. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations of venues? My southside knowledge is rubbish and Google’s options have not come through for me. Any help appreciated!

@barongrenfell Thank you! Charwood was booked and my mum hated golf 😂 I’ve managed to sort The Steading which is about 10 mins away.

@crabbitcopy Mortonhall Golf club and Charwood are two good options…both 10 mins drive away. People also go to the Toby Carvery too (it’s quite a nice setting and 2 mins from the crematorium but not sure what it’s like for a funereal tea).

@hatwell I would also recommend “Concretopia” if you’re interested in modernism, or in fact anything by @Grindrod because everything he’s written is excellent.

Can anyone recommend a book about architecture that's proper written for the layperson? Like pop science but for architecture (ideally modern?)
