Hello, unpad. Homeopaths are trained to do surgery? Go and read the syllabus. They have zero competency in diagnosing cases, and still believe that vital force is the cause of diseases - forget role playing surgeons. And how do you think they perform surgery? They put one scalpel in a large bucket of water and throw the water at the patient is it?

Her insta handle clearly calls out "BHMS" which stands for Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery. They are trained to perform minor surgeries. An ear lobe surgery is a minor surgery. I don't understand what this hullabaloo is all about and under what law have the police arrested this lady ?

@interesting_aIl That's a lot of placebo applied. There is no research that supports the effectiveness of this taping. Any effect is via the stimulation of the skin which makes the person feel more stable - but it does nothing for actual structural stability or movement prevention

@GregLehman @MSmith_DPT @brettfischerDPT I think the cost of the dyno doesn’t correlate with its usefulness. That is, something I may use 1-2 times per week is not worth the $1000 price tag. The objective data that it provides really isn’t that useful to me in my practice.

@MSmith_DPT @brettfischerDPT Sure. And you don’t need a dyno for that. But the bigger question is whether that isolated test is something that needs specifically addressing. Is it relevant to the pain or functional problem.

Before saying we NEED dynamometers in practice we need to answer:
1. Does strength mediate recovery?
aka: if you don't get stronger it is much less likely your pain and function will improve 1/

@herplexus At the end of the evaluation I will ask:
When your spouse / partner/ parent asks you what the PT told you - what are you going to say?
I’ve found this a good way to check their understanding of what was discussed and to make sure we are both on the same page
