@wayofftheres @MrLeadslinger @ShivworksReal Hell yeah. @ShivworksReal classes were enlightening. Managing unknown contacts (MUC) changed my whole perspective on shit.
English

@MrLeadslinger I’m going to offer a different opinion here….
Most people would be best served taking a @ShivworksReal ECQC class first, or maybe only.
Which doesn’t involve shooting past 5 feet
English

IMO you’d be better served by finding a reputable shooting instructor that can teach you to shoot well in general rather than going to “tactical” classes. Learn the important stuff about the draw, index, grip, trigger control, sight alignment, sight confirmation, target transitions, movement etc.
Spend your time in the beginning getting really good at the gun handling and shooting part and then if you want to learn the stuff specific to “tactial” training you’ll already be competent at the shooting part and can focus on learning the specific stuff like use of cover or managing your gun in or around a vehicle or crowds or whatever.
The main thing I noticed taking defensive or tactical gun classes is that almost nobody in the classes could shoot or handle their guns at more than a basic level.
English

Let me be clear: I am a proud supporter of the Second Amendment.
Washington, D.C. law requires handguns be licensed in the District with the Metropolitan Police Department to be carried into our community.
We are focused on individuals who are unlawfully carrying guns and will continue building on that momentum to keep our communities safe.
English

@DHSgov This is bullshit. Just possessing a firearm in the presence of law enforcement does not justify being killed. He was also disarmed prior to being killed.
English

At 9:05 AM CT, as DHS law enforcement officers were conducting a targeted operation in Minneapolis against an illegal alien wanted for violent assault, an individual approached US Border Patrol officers with a 9 mm semi-automatic handgun, seen here.
The officers attempted to disarm the suspect but the armed suspect violently resisted. More details on the armed struggle are forthcoming.
Fearing for his life and the lives and safety of fellow officers, an agent fired defensive shots. Medics on scene immediately delivered medical aid to the subject but was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect also had 2 magazines and no ID—this looks like a situation where an individual wanted to do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement.
About 200 rioters arrived at the scene and began to obstruct and assault law enforcement on the scene, crowd control measures were deployed for the safety of the public and law enforcement.
This situation is evolving, and more information is forthcoming.

For Active Duty/Vets. Husqvarna sent me a stack of chainsaws to give away since a bear stole mine & Internet went wild. I’m adding a 4 day/3 nt stay to one of my Smoky Mtn cabins. Indoor Pool or Insane Views. To enter (100% free, no purchase necessary):
1) Follow @BowTiedBroke
2) Comment on THIS post with literally anything (tag friends = extra luck with the dartboard later 👀) Contest runs exactly 48 hours —-> closes Thanksgiving Day at 6:15 PM EST.
3) You DO NOT have to be a vet, but the prize must go to a vet or active duty service member. Upon announcing this giveaway I had many people comment, "My husband is a vet and doesn't have X, my dad is a vet, my son is active duty, etc". That is fine. The final winner must designate the vet/active duty member and that person MUST be present for the vacation cabin stay.
At close, Grok (or a random comment picker app if Grok has a meltdown) will instantly pick 20 random commenters with accounts older than 3 months. Then, I put those 20 names on a dartboard, film one throw, and THAT person wins everything.
No bots, no BS, fully transparent. The 20 random are chosen, I post here and the dart decides destiny. 🎯
Sorry international followers (not that I have that many) U.S. followers only for this one. Cabin is in Tennessee, chainsaws are heavy, and bears don’t do passports.
Let’s go! Drop a reply and let’s see who the Chainsaw stealing bear chooses.

The top AI model is now smarter than 98% of humans.
It will be smarter than 99.9% of humans by early September next year - a month earlier than my previous estimate.

@grok I don't care about this specific script. I care that I am paying for a tool that should help me and instead get responses where the model admits to lying over and over. This is bizarre. I can't trust this thing at all.
English

@grok 4.1 is by far the worst experience I have had with Grok so far. It keeps lying and telling me it ran a script and ensured it worked. It is making silly syntax errors with basic Python.

You should NOT be in a public gymnasium looking like this.
Eric Couch@BamaBass
Hey y’all, my name is Eric! I’m 47 y/o, 370lbs. I’ve been lifting for 40 days now. Currently running the Starting Strength NLP. Today I deadlifted 245lbs. I’ve been working hard on my form. Making sure to “catch water” with my back instead of rounding. My grip is getting better each workout. Being severely obese has its limitations but I’m not using that as an excuse, gotta get better! 😤💪🏻🔥

@BowTiedBroke Wait, that shit was real? I thought that was AI like the cat playing the fiddle.

@elonmusk Are these robots going to be free? You talk about them like everyone will have one. How does that work economically?

@Rebels_Raiders Man, quit playing and get those PCs back in stock so I can give you my money

So tonight I want to talk about something very strange. Something that, frankly, I don’t understand and nobody in the tactical gear industry seems willing to explain.
You remember Cannae Pro Gear? Of course you don’t, because they vanished. Completely. No warning, no scandal, no dramatic bankruptcy filing. They just… ceased to be.
And then and this is the part that should make you raise an eyebrow within months, something else appears. Something no one saw coming. Something that makes absolutely no sense.
A company called… RÈBÈLs RÄIDÈRs.
And before you roll your eyes yes, that’s the real name. I checked. Twice.
But here’s the question no one can answer: Who is this guy? Where did he come from? Why did he take the ashes of a failed gear company and, in under a year, somehow sell out two entire launches lines he’s running a black-market auction in wartime Berlin?”
I’m being serious. No funding. No backing. No massive PR budget. Not even a warehouse. Just some nameless figure, wearing a mask sitting in a basement somewhere posting non sensical memes and goats with night-vision goggles and the next thing you know, he’s getting into Twitter feuds with well-known conservative influencers who’ve been on my show.
That doesn’t just happen. That’s not normal.
And nobody not the industry analysts, not the trade publications, not even the people who bought the gear can explain how this man went from complete obscurity to moving hundreds of thousands, some sources even say low seven figures, of dollars, in plate carriers and slings in under ten months.
It’s almost like he appeared out of thin air. Almost like he was inserted into the marketplace. And maybe he was I don’t know.
We ask questions on this show.
But I’ll tell you what I do know: companies don’t collapse overnight unless someone wants them to collapse. And random guys don’t build overnight empires unless they know something the rest of us don’t.
So tonight’s question is simple:
What is RÈBÈLs RÄIDÈRs?
Where did it come from?
And what else is happening in this country that we’re not being told?

@chris_j_paxton What tools are you using? I have been using @GeminiApp ,@ChatGPTapp , and @grok as the new Stack Overflow. It seems ok at generating somewhat working examples I can build on. Beyond that, the most common response I get is is "You're 100% right, I'm sorry I missed that"
