@CryptoMikli yeah uh none of this is accurate sorry Martin

Martin Shkreli exposes how big law firms really operate
“This actually happened to a friend of mine. He worked at Google, at Waymo, and then he left and went to Uber. Google picked up the phone and called a big law firm. They didn’t call the police or the FBI. These big law firms are staffed with people who used to be prosecutors”
“Let’s say you’re a partner at one of these firms and Google calls you. You don’t even have to look into it. Google is your biggest client. They might be paying your firm $10-20 million, and some of that is your salary”
“They call you and say, ‘John, you’ve been my lawyer for eight years. You’ve been representing Google. We just got ripped off by this guy. I need you to call the prosecutors you used to work with and get this guy indicted.’ This poor guy, Andrew, got indicted, and the pretext was that he stole trade secrets”

@crimecourier @ryangrim The Democratic Party should embrace legalized insider trading gambling firms?
English

One of these degenerate gambling companies famously offered Hasan Piker a minimum million bucks for an ad on his stream and he turned it down.
That alone is threatening to the corporate class that still controls the husk of the Democratic Party. But not for long. Enjoy your payday for now

Excited to advise @Kalshi as they continue to dominate the prediction market space. They're one of the fastest growing companies in the US — and one of the rare tech platforms that take a regulatory first approach.

@sam_mcquill This seems to be the main point of confusion between you and Brian. Murphy did not say “the federal government cannot dictate the policy.” It said “the federal government cannot force one state to prohibit something it wants to allow when it allows other states to allow it.”
English

I understand enough about laws to know that Murphy v. NCAA made clear the federal government can’t dictate state sports betting policy.
30 states are not suing over weather contracts, but I get why you'd rather talk about those. Any more red herrings?
Brian Quintenz@BrianQuintenz
Seems like you don’t understand how laws work. You see, they start by creating things called “definitions”, which can be very, very broad. Here’s a good homework assignment: Point me to where the CEA talks about weather contracts, which have been listed since the 90s.

@WALLACHLEGAL legal commentary requires being unbiased and not pretending your favored outcomes are definite outcomes. you’ve abandoned any pretense at doing legal commentary on this topic
English

@tphillips alt: the states shouldn’t be suing licensed exchanges so often that a federal regulator is forced to step in.
English

The CFTC shouldn't be using its limited number of litigators to act as prediction markets' lawyers.

Kalshi FINALLY calls out the BS lobbying.
The insider trading and “death markets” people want banned are on Polymarket, which is based offshore in Panama.
It is already *illegal* on CFTC regulated exchanges like Kalshi and the CME.
It is SHOCKING we are still comparing offshore entities to those who spend **years** getting properly regulated.
If you’re fed up with these illegal behaviors, we need to set the record straight on where they’re coming from or maybe run for office in Panama.

I don’t get people.
Even if you’re not supposed to be arrested, let them arrest you without resisting and then sort all this out. What’s wrong with people?
The lefts rhetoric, that’s what’s wrong.
It’s made democrats fear for their lives as if ICE is a foreign power here to kidnap people. Never should you resist arrest with officers, federal or not.
English

ICE detain mother at airport—traveling with young daughter.
First reported kidnapping at airport since Trump ordered ICE agents to report—refuse to show ID.
"I don't know who you are!" witness yells.
"You could be someone kidnapping her!"
Agent continue to refuse to show ID until bystanders agree they should call police to report a kidnapping.
Incident occurred at the San Francisco International Airport Gate E2 on March 22, 2026, at 10pm. #DemsUnited

Interesting how none of them want to ban sports betting in betting apps that can front run customers and set their own odds though.
But the gambling lobby that donates millions to Congress shows up, and now Congress cares about the more strictly regulated CFTC approved industry?
Pretty brazen.
Even if you don’t understand the structural nuance of why gambling and prediction markets are two different products - you’ve got to be raising an eyebrow at why our politicians only seem to care about one of them?
How many members of Congress are getting that DraftKings money right now?
