@AlexanderKLee Wouldnt an MMA journalist report on fighters skillsets what they do and dont do well, how this matchup against x fighter looks and plays out with their different advantages etc. Instead of asking views on politics or their personal opinion on gays? Isnt that gotcha journalism?

Based on the last couple of weeks, it’s clearer than ever that some UFC and WWE fans have a lot to learn about the role of the media I’ll say this for whoever needs to hear it: the media are NOT PR for promotions it is not the media’s job to “hype up an event” get it?

@benfowlkesMMA Personally I think the majority of people who work in MMA media should not be so surprised that people who fight in a cage for a living may not always share their views on life.

Personally I think that if you make being a hateful bigot part of your public persona you should maybe not be so surprised and outraged when people ask you about that at a press conference. It’s a conversation YOU started, after all.

@benfowlkesMMA This cuts both ways. If your going to ask that question you shouldn’t be surprised how he responded. The “journalist” basically resurfaced the comments and magnified them and made another viral moment to add to Sean’s fame. It backfired badly. It’s about the athletes not you.
