@SimonHarrisMBD @Scottish_Suzi Breakfast clubs and after school clubs now are for those who can’t be bothered to feed their own kids and teachers who need to leave their own kids becasue of the lack of flexibility in teaching. My kids are the most neglected becasue of my career choice… the irony!!

The irony of people attacking free breakfast clubs because ‘parents should work hard to feed their kids,’ when parents use these so they can drop their kids off earlier and then … you guessed it … go to work at the time required by their employer in order to feed their kids.

@barton_jw Following through from top down, and being visible. My experience recently is how invisible slt is, and how they don’t follow through, some are just not listened to by the students. If they are not actively promoting pride for the school, why would the students behave with pride.

Breakfast clubs are not about breakfast, they're largely about pre-school care because it's impossible for two working parents to commute to their desks at 9AM if schools start at 8.40.

The breakfasts are not free. They are paid for by taxes - mostly on parents who feed their own kids. Most of these 10,000 children would have had a perfectly healthy breakfast at home without these clubs. This isn't about helping the poorest kids, it's the state taking over the basic job of parenting.

@tiffphilis Luga have given their nxt gen to other teams to use…. So it would be their nxt nxt gen..there are no rules saying you have to not play the best player available to you… why would you want a lower quality game??? And would it be morally right bringing someone in who’s not ready?

Still absolutely reeling over Jo Trip being replacement for Harvey. Those poor Next Gen girls who play their hearts out every week, hoping that one day their time will come. How is this even allowed. Undermines the whole league structure and shite sportsmanship. #NSL2026

Housby injury news is a worry. If she's selected for CWG then in my view the other two shooting spots (Tchine is locked in imo) need to be given to GA/GS shooters that can take a much bigger load during the tournament. For me that's no WA-GA and no Cardwell.
