@PGATOUR @cadillac_champ He did the right thing no doubt but this is another rule that needs to be changed. This rule in no way helps identify who played the best golf. It’s a stupid rule. I mean they are playing preferred lies today. Think about how silly this rule is.

BREAKING: Sources indicate LIV is preparing to wind down operations as the Public Investment Fund (PIF) reassesses its broader strategy amid ongoing conflict in the Middle East. A recent board meeting in New York focused on the league’s near-term future, including whether to cease operations following this week’s event in Mexico City or continue through the end of the season. @TGL Someone needs to tell LA the hammer rule. They clearly don’t know the hammer must be accepted on the tee box before anyone hits. I mean it’s their own fault but someone should say something. Match should be tied right now if they knew what they were doing.

Imo, it was a catch by the rule as it is written Rule 8.1.3 requires: A. Secure ball B. Two feet inbounds Then: C. Football move, or ground contact that does not dislodge the ball Cooks does secure possession, and the ball remains firmly in possession after ground contact
