@8trius @keane72068 @MileiSays I agree but this is another reason the leftists and socialists reject God so fervently. It's not that many don't know the truth. They 'lean unto their own understanding' thinking they know better, than all, including the Lord.

Remember the story of Cain & Abel. Abel figured out a sacrifice that was pleasing to God. Cain was given a model of how to please God. Instead of humbling himself to learn and change, envy and jealousy reared its head. Then Cain destroyed the only model he had instead. This is why God’s words to Cain are so relevant: “Sin is crouching at your door seeking to master you, but you must rule over it.” It’s an elegant story to get the point across: Humble yourself to learn the way to success. It does not come through the destruction of the successful.

Javier Milei Quotes (Fan)
Javier Milei: “I thought being on the left was a mental problem. The empirical evidence is so overwhelming that it never worked anywhere, and they refused to accept it.” “But what I discovered is that being on the left is a disease of the soul. The left is built on envy, hatred, resentment, and unequal treatment under the law. They are very violent, and since they have no way or arguments to answer, they go for physical violence.”

Outside the servile US left who in their self-loathing and privileged naiveté towards the world have developed a never ending guilt complex and desire to defer to the 3rd world and Europe even at our expense. Most Americans don't give a fuck what the world likes, because its usually the same world that comes to us with their hand out demanding support for this issue or that.

No he's right, at the core of most modern leftist ideologies are utopian ideals that are really just a desire for the same status, success, and position as the most successful and accepted groups, but without the work, or barring that a desire to erase all visible status/capacity differences between people, so they aren't reminded of what they lack.

Now you are starting to understand why decoupling was chosen as the optimal strategy. By forcing Europe to choose a sphere it removes the possibility of them betraying us at the worst possible time. And no I am not using the word betray in the moral sense. I don’t believe in morality. I believe in realpolitik. And we are about to realpolitik the shit out of them until they beg to be vassals again.

I'll take it a step further and say it doesn't matter if Trump loses the midterms or formally stays in NATO, or the GOP even wins in 2028. By the time we get to 2029, we will have so eroded the structures of these alliances, that even the parties on both sides of the Atlantic that wanted to keep them will find it very difficult to do so.

Polymarket is giving Europeans a false sense of security effectively telling them that Trump will lose the midterms and NATO is not at risk. This is wrong. Both because volumes on Polymarket are incredibly shallow but also because the economic picture between now and Election Day is about to improve markedly. They should be operating under the assumption that Trump remains firmly in control until 2029 and by not doing so they are setting themselves up for disaster.

You have to see it for what it is, some parents hate to see their children outgrow and surpass them, so they seek to maintain control. Trump and the US conservative/nationalist/IR realist factions that saw that our defference to Europe only led to managed decline, and China's primacy, just saw it for what it was and rejected it. And in doing so the Europeans mask fell off leaving nothing but their envy, contempt, and sanctimonious pride on full display.

It's a truth Americans ignored. We told ourselves hatred from Europe wasn't anything special because everyone hated us. Because there was something about us that deserved it. Deserved contempt, vitriol. But no, truth is Europe hates us because there's something wrong with them. Breaking the language barrier with Japan has made it abundantly clear that Americans aren't beholden to a Europe that constantly stabs us in the back. Counts every single favor as some outsized gift that we should count our blessings to have, considers every debt to us as a matter of just what we owe them for being what we are. Consider every interaction you've had with a European, or even Canadian, where they've treated American-ness like it was some sort of disease, a malady, a "thing" that made you inferior. That you owed them some otherwise unspoken apology for. Don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about. You do. We've all encountered it, sometimes daily. None of it was true of course, but that didn't matter to them. Piggish Americans. Stupid Americans. Buffoonish Americans. For the longest time we've treated Europe like that angry friend who constantly says mean spirited cruel things, but really loves you in the end and will always have your back. When, no, Europe just hates us. Europe plays at being our friend because it needs us but then promptly knifes us in the back and twists it just to hear the sucking sound every chance they get. It's time to be honest with ourselves. It's not us, it's them, and they've been telling us how much they hate us for decades. It's time we believed them. It's time we acted accordingly. None of this applies to Poland. You're cool. Also we like Italy's Prime Minister. She's cool. Żadna z tych rzeczy nie dotyczy Polski. Polska jest spoko. Inoltre, ci piace la Prima Ministra dell’Italia. È cool.

You want to know why no president before Trump has had the guts to stop Iran for the last 47 years? Because no president had the vision to endure a short-term spike in gas prices in order to end the terrorist regime. President Trump isn't running for reelection 2028. He's bucket listing everything now. He's not going to leave office without doing everything in his power to make American great and the world safe. They never should have shot at him. They awakened a sleeping giant and filled him with terrible resolve.

@Elgar_M_Zeisel @NoahRettberg Right, Iran isn't much of a problem for you and post-Soviet Russia isn't as much of a problem for the US. Much of our adversarial positioning toward them came from us having to defend Europe, take that out of the equation and the US has less reason to position against them.

Ukraine and Iran are both problems for Europe and the US. We live in the stupidest timeline where Europe and the US are drifting apart instead of sticking together. And dont come to me with your thoughts about who you think is to blame and who started this. Shut up. We need to come together and not alienate each other even more, whoch just serves the interest of the third world dictators.

@LRHCPH @BaldingsWorld It's a defensive alliance that puts the US on the hook for defending a continent that can defend itself. After the USSR fell, it has become useless to the US, a one sided alliance that does nothing of value for us, we are finally coming around to address it.

For Europe, it is a time for choosing. They can either align with the American bloc or the Chinese bloc. If Europe thinks it can play both sides, it is sorely mistaken. There is no halfway here. Choose wisely; the fate of your continent quite literally depends on it.

So many longtime NATO supporters saying the same thing right now. I helped bring Poland, Hungary and Czech Republic into NATO. But denying us basing and overflight is inexcusable, as is their failure to help with Strait of Hormuz. No one asking them to bomb Iran, just let us use our bases and help escort ships. If they can’t do that, NATO has no purpose.

Pales in comparison to the hundreds of thousands of lives we've given to clean up 2 of your global wars and trillions of dollars to protect you from getting conquered by the USSR, and now Russia. All we wanted was to use your air fields and for you to help us secure the strait, not fight Iran. And you showed your true colors, chicken shit yellow.

Europeans gave lives in two US wars that were badly conceived and executed. They now have a US president who openly sides with their major continental enemy, a man who has threatened the annexation of one Nato member and the invasion of another. This is a difference of philosophy?
Melissa Chen@MsMelChen

Let’s be real here. Europe has spent decades freeloading on American security. Even now, with every NATO member finally hitting the 2% GDP target in 2025. But beyond the financial contributions, the real rupture is philosophical and the Iran crisis has shown a spotlight on it. Europe worships process. Endless committees, consultations, and “predictability.” Macron actually calls it a virtue. For Trump, this is paralysis as his style is to articulate a threat, fix a target, and act. The Americans are men of conviction and purpose. Europe on the other hand lives by bureaucratic liturgy and in high-minded abstractions. Sure, Americans might make mistakes when acting. But Europe never considers what the costs of not acting actually are. Just look at how their nations are doing on various fronts, especially on the border crisis, and you see the same cancerous rot that undergirds their foreign policy approach play out domestically. It's the same problem on a different scale. Iran is currently holding the Strait of Hormuz hostage, choking 20% of global oil and spiking prices past $100 a barrel. Meanwhile, the regime is bleeding from strikes, its nuclear ambitions are still alive despite degraded capability, and its proxies are firing missiles at allies and oil tankers. If this isn’t a clear and present danger to the global economy - of which Europe is a part - then I don’t know what is. Yet when Washington asked to use European bases to finish the job - bases the US has defended for generations, the response was hesitation and hand-wringing. The US did strike from RAF Fairford, but only after warnings that British soil could become a “legitimate target.” If you cannot agree that a theocratic regime with eschatological ambitions who have shown no restraint in hitting out at Gulf countries and threatening the world’s energy jugular is an enemy worth confronting, then what, exactly, are we allies about? Europe loves to preen about being tough on Russia. They issue condemnations and speeches and slap sanctions that hardly work to cripple the Russian economy. Now here was a chance to do something concrete: let the Americans use the bases they already pay for, help clear the Strait, and actually degrade the Iranian war machine that arms Moscow’s proxies. Turmp didn’t ask for boots on the ground or any kind of more offensive action. All he wanted was permission to operate from the infrastructure America has underwritten for decades. They couldn’t even manage that. So can you blame the Americans for seeing NATO for what it is? A paper-tiger alliance that expects Washington to bleed and pay while Brussels and London convenes and deliberates. If Europe refuses to treat Iran as the threat it is while happily letting American power keep the Strait open and the lights on, then the alliance is already dead. Trump is simply stating the obvious and the Americans are becoming very reluctant to subsidize the European delusion any longer.
