Something's totally off about the number of data centers being built (over 3,000 right now) and the sheer size and compute power they represent. They are massively OVER-building capacity that can't possibly be met by customer demand for compute. And customer revenues can't possibly recover the financial investment needed on these projects. There's clearly some other plan afoot, and I don't yet know what it is. It involves massive compute, but not merely to serve inference or hosting databases and corporate data. There's a much larger plan at work here.

@MeghanEMurphy It's respectable based on how you use it. A 30 minute time to reset after work is fine honestly. Hours while neglecting their health, partners, responsibilities etc. is not.

This is such a stupid take, but one that demonstrates the immaturity and atrophied brains of gamers. There are countless respectable hobbies. Play an instrument, take up jiu jitsu, go hunting, go to the gym, play a sport, learn to fish, go hiking, build a shed, fix a car, build something, make something, write something, read something, play something. Do something that makes you better, not worse. x.com/kevan_gogh/sta…

Bill Maher drags his woke guest out of his liberal bubble and tells him to his face he’s why Kamala Harris lost. It all started when David Cross revealed his 9-year-old daughter has “trans friends.” “Wait, she has trans friends in third grade?” Maher asked. Cross replied: “Yep,” as if it’s completely normal and something society should embrace. That’s when Maher dropped the hammer and told him straight up that no, somebody’s doing something to that little girl. Cross immediately got defensive, but Maher refused to back down. He told Cross that believing a 9-year-old girl is deciding to be trans on her own is exactly the kind of liberal insanity that lost Kamala Harris the election in 2024. And if Democrats keep it up, JD Vance is going to win in 2028. By the end of this exchange, Cross is left sitting there looking like a deer in headlights, like he’s never been challenged on “trans kids” in his life. This is a moment worth watching, but if you’re somewhere you can’t play it, the transcript is below: MAHER: “You need to be checked. People need to be checked… including your little girl.” CROSS: “Fck that btch. (joking) Fck that little btch with her black friends and trans friends and not even understanding.” MAHER: “Trans?! Wait, she has trans friends in third grade?” CROSS: “Yep.” MAHER: “They know they’re trans in third grade?” CROSS: “Just the coolest kid.” MAHER: “[Is kid transitioning from] girl to boy?” CROSS: “Girl to boy. And she has another very close friend who’s not in the school, but who’s boy to girl at three years old.” MAHER: “A woman said [to me] ‘I was what they called a tomboy. If I was alive now and acted the way I did then, that’s what they would have done to me.’” CROSS: “Well, nobody’s doing this to her.” MAHER: “Well, I don’t know.” CROSS: “Literally nobody is doing this to her.” MAHER: “How old?” CROSS: “She is — or HE is — either eight or I think nine.” MAHER: “Okay, then somebody is doing something because eight or nine-year-olds can’t do anything on their own.” CROSS: “No, they’re buying them boys' clothes.” MAHER: “Well then, they’re doing something.” CROSS: “Sure. Yes, you’re right. They’re buying them boys' clothes.” MAHER: “And telling them you’re a boy now.” CROSS: “No, no, they’re not telling them. They’re just agreeing with [them].” MAHER: “Agreeing with an 8-year-old. Because when has their judgment ever been off at 8?” CROSS: “You know you knew you weren’t gay, right?” MAHER: “Yeah, that’s different.” CROSS: “It’s not different.” MAHER: “It is different. Good luck with President Vance. Because, as I always say to my woke friends, we voted for the same person. You’re just why she lost and this is a case of that.” CROSS: “Wait, what?” MAHER: “We voted for the same person…” CROSS: “Right.” MAHER: “You’re just why she lost. Because America hears this, and they’re going to go, ‘Bill’s right. Eight-year-olds can’t really make decisions on their own like this.’ That’s what most people are going to say.”

I live in a dark blue state, and I know I shouldn’t be shocked, but I was in mixed company with casual acquaintances, and one of them made a comment about “what happened Saturday“ and expressed disappointment… At first I didn’t realize what they were talking about, but then the person repeated it and then a couple other people in the group nodded approvingly and made approving comments, and I realized that it’s actually an extremely mainstream view amongst Democrats that Donald Trump should be assassinated and killed

None of the billionaire tax coverage about Sergey Brin in Bloomberg or the NYTimes reports the most important structural detail of why he opposes it so much more than Jensen. It taxes voting shares as ownership. It taxes Page and Brin as if they own 50+% or >$2 trillion of Google rather than 3% each. Jensen does not have super voting shares so he is just taxed like his actual ownership of Nvidia. Imagine if you were taxed like you earned 10 times as much as you actually did last year. @bizcarson @teddyschleifer

China has warned the EU not to proceed with its new “Made in Europe” industrial plan, threatening countermeasures if it harms Chinese companies. The proposed Industrial Accelerator Act sets strict local content requirements, such as 70%+ European components for electric vehicles and batteries, plus quotas for low-carbon steel and aluminum in public projects. The EU wants to rebuild its manufacturing base and reduce reliance on Chinese supply chains. Beijing describes the rules as protectionist and “discriminatory.”

A man cast hundreds of girls in porn in Argentina. The girls agreed after he said he would only share those videos outside the country and would not upload them. The worst thing is many of those girls were in relationships. A girl even went on a date with her boyfriend and, on the same day, did porn. All of them were happy and did it consensually. Why are women like this? Just for some money, they choose to be prostitutes? Also, if a high body count gets normalised in society, nothing will stop women from becoming prostitutes.

This is a ridiculous statement given the US is spending over a Billion $$$ USD each day just to remain in this war… by the estimations in this statement. Iran apparently loses by day 14 approx 5.6b, while the US stands to lose over 14B… Iran cost of living in Tehran approx 1500USD per month. In New York it’s approx $9k USD per month. This war makes no sense!

We are approaching day 8 of the U.S. naval blockade on Iran. Estimated losses stand at roughly $435M per day, putting total damage near $3.4B so far. At that pace, once this stretches into double digits around the 14 day mark, the pressure starts compounding and it won’t be easy for the IRGC to absorb. For context, a family of 4 in Tehran can live reasonably on about $1,500 per month. Everything paid.

Another negotiation edge for Trump. People thought Trump's leverage is just the Strait of Hormuz and superior military might. But there's another... The TOUSCA cargo ship! This ship was boarded by US Marines last two days and they results of their inspection is out. * The TOUSCA cargo ship is under sanction and was coming from China. * The TOUSCA is loaded with 5,000 containers of heavy chemicals used in the production of missiles. Iran and China are presenting Trump a strong evidence to further justify his blockade.

This is an interesting escalation. Normally, when a ship is boarded and seized, owners assume it eventually returns to service — future value preserved, financial risk contained. Not this time. A 5” hole through the engine room changes everything: the vessel’s commercial value is effectively destroyed, and risk is now maximized across the entire fleet. Doesn’t matter what flag it flies — someone owns it. Now every operator with Iran-linked shipping is asking: Is this business still worth continuing?

It's funny how AI has made white collar work 10x faster already but there's been basically no economic impact from it. The reason is quite simple: 1. Most white collar work is bullshit, so speeding it up by 10x still equals a pile of bullshit at the end 2. Most white collar employees are using AI to do all their work for the week in 4 hours instead of 40, whilst telling their manager the deadline is still 40 hours away We have been living in a fake economy for the better part of two decades. It is all a fugazi. People who do real jobs in the real world get paid comparatively crap, and people who do fake jobs in the fiat Ponzi world get paid just enough fiat currency to pretend they are important. None of it amounts to anything productive nor valuable for the world though. An entire generation doing fake email jobs, slide decks and excel sheets for corporations who ultimately produce nothing.

Ibogaine is known to have risks related to the heart, particularly the potential to prolong the QT interval, which can lead to dangerous arrhythmias. Because of that, medications that also prolong the QT interval—like some antipsychotics, antidepressants, or certain antibiotics—should be avoided. Also, drugs that lower the seizure threshold or affect the liver’s enzyme system, such as benzodiazepines or some mood stabilizers, are a concern. Overall, any medication affecting heart rhythm, seizure risk, or metabolism should be reviewed carefully before using ibogaine.

No one is more Right-wing than a blue-state conservative. Unless you've seen first hand, up close and personal, the damage that the far-Left is capable of causing, it's all theoretical. I spent the first 25 years of my life in Portland, Oregon. I have seen, with my own two eyes, the real world consequences of far-Left political ideology. Neighborhoods - destroyed. Crime rates - skyrocketing. Small businesses - gutted. Homeless population - through the roof. Illegal aliens - everywhere. Housing costs - stratospheric. Public parks and playgrounds - littered with used needles. Sidewalks - covered in graffiti and human feces. Your old friend from highschool - overdosed, dead. Take it as a warning from me -- we can NEVER let these people win.

Rupert Grint, the English actor who played Ron in the Harry Potter films, was too young to spend his money when he started getting rich. He had to wait until he was of legal age to commit his first folly. His first adult purchase, with the enormous fortune he had accumulated, was... an ice cream truck. An ice cream truck. This is the truck he bought. A 1974 Bedford van, designed by Mr. Whippy. And surprisingly, the young actor didn't want an ice cream truck to be displayed in his front yard. He wanted to use it to sell ice cream! Or rather, offer them to children for free. Which he did for a while, driving his truck through the small villages in his region, handing out popsicles along the way. It was a childhood dream.

I guess the answer here is for women to return to subsidizing the male lifestyle, which would not exist if women didn’t massively subsidize it by doing men’s cooking, cleaning, laundry, childcare, and all other manner of life organizing.

Good piece with a simple thesis: The girlboss lifestyle would not exist if it were not massively subsidized. Cheap immigrant labor to do their cooking, cleaning, and child care; student loans and the whole higher ed sector; email jobs that don’t need to exist; etc.
