@CDoombeard I had also pirate some smaller indie game, they had lead me to becoming thier patron support and or buying the game legitimately. But sometimes I buy some game off the store from sale or it a new release I've been follow, and very rarely i feel like I dont get the money worth.

A percentage of pirates will always pirate. They aren't your market. There's no money to be had from them. Some percentage will NEVER pirate. The middle third can be moved either way by quality of service. Steam absolutely massively reduced piracy.

If you believe that using 3d models in art is cheating, you should believe that using texture brushes is cheating too. Or even using vector layers, or lasso, or liquify, or transform. See how stupid it sounds? 3d models are TOOLS meant to assist you in your process-

Characters look real, because they are. ❌ 3D modeling ✅ Filming This indie dev: - recorded professional actors - color graded the raw videos - imported them into the engine - sliced them into separate animations 100% Full Motion Video (FMV) I reached out to the dev, and he gave me some behind-the-scenes footage you can see below. Such a smart way to get photorealistic graphics without melting your GPU. Basically a modern version of the trick that was used in the classic Mortal Kombat. I think we'll see this tech in more indie games soon.
