It was great to speak with education leaders from across the province today to discuss opportunities to make it easier to build new schools faster. A streamlined municipal land use approvals process would help us build complete communities and ensure students have access to schools close to home.

The @csaont has advocated that when the moratorium is lifted that it be left in place for schools qualifying for the Rural & Northern Education Fund. It would be nice to see @CathyAbraham and @OPSBA agree. Rural and northern schools need that acknowledgment.

The broken capital funding model affects suburban and urban communities as well. We need capital funding that reflects the needs of children and their communities.
