Given UW's history with QB transfers, Tyler Van Dyke seems closer to Danny O'Brien than Russell Wilson. Outside of 2021 (ACC Rookie of the Year), Van Dyke has been just a 'guy' .. pretty average at Miami. Tanner Mordecai's running opened up Air Raid. But this dude isn't a runner.

If you can afford it, if your family and kid love it, then it’s all perfectly fine.
But I’d advise parents to not get too secure in the idea that their kids are getting some sort of leg up at 9.
Hell, I didn’t even start playing until I was 9 & wasn’t a keeper until 10.
Never went to a single tournament of any kind ever.
Still developed fine.

I don’t believe 7-13 year olds should be traveling to tournaments
There is virtually zero value IMO & experience.
Players should also not be in organized ⚽️ play more than 120 minutes in a day & must have rest between days

You can buy your kids a phone; pay for college, a car. You can buy sporting equipment & uniforms, but you can’t buy their success. If they want it, they will have to work for it & earn it. Success isn’t easy. It’s gritty & hard. The price is a lot of extra work, trials & failure!
