A photo has turned up of the day in 1960 I suggested to then-Senator John F. Kennedy that we should go to the moon and "just mine the blamed thing." That's me in the glasses just to the right of his knees. I'm holding a bag after suit-shopping to go to the Nat'l Science Fair.

Wet dress rehearsal under a full Moon. 🌕🚀 Teams at @NASAKennedy powered up systems starting at 8:13 p.m. ET on Jan. 31., and prepped the Artemis II SLS rocket for fueling. Tomorrow, they will load it with more than 700,000 gallons of propellant.

@Ritholtz But Barry! Have you tried the Kauai Coffee Peaberry yet? I know it’s not an east coast vacation destination but I do highly recommend you try the product. Probably available to ship.

@hubermanlab Great day hike but add that back country behind for an amazing stretch. Merced Lake and beyond. High country is the best.

After decades of hiking & backpacking Yosemite I am still sure Clouds Rest (as a day hike) is the best. If you go, bring LOTS of water… none on the way. & the final ascent is a touch hairy. But if you do you’ll be rewarded. Nothing like Yosemite High Country. Highly recommend.

Well, this is probably one of the funnier things I’ve done but my friend (and sommelier) and I got a CA liquor license and started a wine collective - with our license it allows us to buy wine directly from vintners, get wholesale pricing, buy and house entire collections of wine etc. We didn’t do this just for us but created it to allow our friends to participate as well. At some point we may open it up to the world at large - if you love wine, want access to the best wines and avoid retail markups this may be a fit - the team charges for shipping and handling but otherwise pass through the raw cost to our members. Right now we’re saving 15-40% per bottle depending on the winery/vintage. We call it Drink with Me. We also create quarterly capsules of the best wines Josh and I have drank and allow members to buy in quantity. The first box is below. 🍷!!

Wonderful tasting of Edouard Delaunay 2023 wines — a vintage where quality and quantity aligned! The most impressive part of this tasting was not the grand crus (Chambertin & Clos de la Roche where only one barrel is made per year),

This sounds stupid but I swear it works miracles. For the next 7 days, find a 1 hour long lecture on YouTube from Alan Watts. You have to listen to it when you aren't distracted by anything else: before you take a nap, before you fall asleep, or on a quiet walk. When I do this I can start to feel my mind opening. Ideas start flowing again. Everything feels lighter. I find myself doing this when I feel very narrow. I can't come up with new ideas. I've been working too much. Life feels repetitive. I've done this once a year for the past 5 years and I still don't know why I don't make it a daily thing.
