Starting today, I'm officially on sabbatical through the end of the month. If you didn't know, Helium offers a 4 week paid sabbatical after 4 years. So stoked to make progress on my house build, hang with fam, and time to write music.

@ctrlaltdylan What kind of extension? Both UI extensions and functions support build-time environment variables.

It would be so nice if you could select which extensions to deploy with the Shopify CLI. Quickly testing all of our extensions on every deploy is nerve wrecking, even with browser automations.

@nick_wesselman Unfortunately without ENV var support, it's actually not possible to *not* need change an a single extension. We have to update constants to point to the correct production hosts, etc.

@ctrlaltdylan If the extension hasn't changed, why worry about testing it?

Gotta share this new approach that's been a productivity upgrade. As part of my project spec files, I've been adding a "Regression Tests" section which outlines how to check data & logs for anomalies and expected data. Automates the post-deployment monitoring of the situation
