@celispj @BigCommerce Seeing more woo than bc adoption personally. Self hosting for more control, less platform risk even tho it’s friendly today

.@BigCommerce managed to lose another 35% market cap so far this year. They have only 1 valid strategic move left: Be the ecommerce platform for regulated verticals banned on Shopify (vape shops, guns and bullets, etc). It ain't much but it's defensible.

@patjakubik Same. I had ~50 reviews total over 5 years on the App Store. Yes it's a paltry amount because I never cheated and I legitimately spent 1:1 time to earn them. Overnight lost 30% of them. The reviews even mention me by name.

Lost only a few, but it still stings. Never gamed the system, never nagged merchants for reviews like some do - and with an app targeting Shopify Plus, they’re extremely hard to earn (enterprise merchants rarely want their name out there). Deleting them without so much as an email is a bad move @ShopifyDevs. Meanwhile, a negative review from someone who used my app for 10 minutes on a free trial is still up, hurting my rankings.
