@dom_lucre It’s a reminder that the physical world is the devil’s playground. You don’t legislate evil away. We have a serious cultural problem. I’m far more concerned about the mindset that brought this to reality, not tool they used to do it.

All jokes aside "You can just do things" is such an incredibly powerful mantra. The entire system is built on keeping you from thinking like that.

@ianmSC @VigilantFox I sincerely believe the people that see everything as antisemitism are equally as bad for society as the ones that blame Jews for everything. The norm of unquestionable support for Israel is on the floor the extremes refuse to meet in the middle for dialogue.

What? Does Turkey have a right to exist with its current boundaries? Does the US? Does Germany? What are you talking about, only one country has it? Tucker knows exactly what it means, he’s just delaying and stalling because he doesn’t want to answer and either sacrifice clicks and views by saying yes, or reveal even more of his idiocy by saying no.

A reporter asks Tucker Carlson if Israel has a “right to exist.” Tucker flips the question right back and asks her to define what “right to exist” means. And then this happened.

@ianmSC @VigilantFox Israel has the right to exist to the extent any country does. This question is often posed to then bait calls of antisemitism. We’re all equal and the rules have been it is your country as long as you can keep it.

I’d argue that’s exactly what you’re doing here, what does right to exist mean and why would only one country have it? We’re a culture that currently attributes all the ism’s to the simplest things we disagree with which makes dialogue impossible. Just don’t weigh in if you have nothing to contend with.

God is the worlds greatest Dad. He gives us what we need instead of what we want just like any great father. Maturity comes from gaining spiritual wisdom in denying the devil’s tug on our emotions and pursuing the path of righteousness that is counter intuitive to what emotions desire.

The United Kingdom has demanded that 4chan pay a £520,000 fine for failure to comply with UK age verification laws. However, since 4chan is based in the USA, the UK has no jurisdiction to fine Americans in America. “As has been explained to your agency, ad nauseam, the United Kingdom lost the American Revolutionary War. We are not in the mood to discuss the matter further, and have not been in the mood for 250 years.” The letter to the UK’s Ofcom ended by suggesting that “maybe, you could just stop sending Americans stupid letters and acknowledge the sovereignty of the United States.” 4chan’s attorney, @prestonjbyrne also included a picture of a giant hamster dressed as Godzilla.

God, I live in a broken world where guilt and shame are present. My guilt and shame feel so heavy. Teach me to rest in Your sacrifice for me, and help me to know that You have taken on the burden, and I don't need to carry it anymore. I surrender my guilt and shame to You. Please take it and replace it with Your peace. In Jesus' name, Amen.

One thing I’ve noticed over the last 5 years is every major corporation outsourcing the service side of the business. The cost to the consumer doesn’t decrease and most often goes up. There’s going to be a real pathway for success for anyone who recognizes when people have issues, offering them broken english or an automated robot with limited commands is an easy way to destroy your brand.

idk who needs to hear this but your prayers don't need to be rehearsed with fancy speech. God is not looking for polish, he's looking for authenticity. He wants a relationship with you, not formality. Talk to God like a friend. God already knows.

““If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first. The world would love you as one of its own if you belonged to it, but you are no longer part of the world. I chose you to come out of the world, so it hates you.” John 15:18-19 NLT “Why treasure fleeting love from a world that rejects Christ, when God’s love endures forever?”
Bishop Joseph Strickland @ Pillars of Faith@BishStrick

WHEN THE WORLD DEMANDS COMPROMISE   In these days of great confusion, many faithful Catholics are feeling unsettled – some even shaken – by the intensity of political pressure, public accusations, and the growing hostility toward those who simply hold to the perennial teaching of the Catholic Church.   Let me speak clearly, as a shepherd of souls:   “If you feel that the ground beneath you is shaking, it is not because the truth has changed – it is because many have unknowingly anchored themselves to things that cannot hold.   Political parties cannot save us. Governments cannot define truth. And no earthly movement – no matter how powerful – can replace the Kingship of Jesus Christ.   Our foundation is not found in Washington, nor in any administration, nor in any political identity. Our foundation is Jesus Christ.   As Our Lord Himself declares: “Every one therefore that heareth these my words, & doth them, shall be likened to a wise man that built his house upon a rock.” (Matthew 7:24)   That Rock is not a party. That Rock is not an ideology. That Rock is not a geopolitical agenda. That Rock is Christ – and Christ alone.   ON FALSE ACCUSATIONS AND CONFUSION   We are now witnessing a troubling trend: faithful Catholics are being labeled as “anti-Semitic” simply for refusing to adopt certain theological or political positions – particularly those tied to forms of modern Christian Zionism.   Let me be absolutely clear:   The Catholic Church rejects hatred of any people, including the Jewish people. Anti-Semitism is a sin. It is unjust. It is contrary to the Gospel.   But it is equally unjust to accuse Catholics of hatred simply because we do not accept theological positions that are foreign to the Catholic faith.   The Church does not teach that the rebuilding of a temple or adherence to a particular political program is necessary for the return of Christ. Our Lord has already fulfilled the covenant.   The People of God are not defined by ethnicity, nor by political alliances, but by faith in Jesus Christ and obedience to His will.   ON WAR, SUFFERING, AND HUMAN DIGNITY   The Catholic Church does not cheer for war. She does not sanctify violence. She does not ignore the suffering of innocent people – anywhere. Whether in Gaza, Israel, or any part of the world, every human life is sacred.   To speak of suffering, to mourn the loss of innocent life, to call for justice – this is not hatred. It is the Gospel. Our Lord said: “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.” (Matthew 5:9)   A Catholic conscience must never be silenced by political pressure or fear of accusation.   OUR POLITICAL IDOLATRY   Many Catholics today are experiencing turmoil because their identity has become too closely tied to a political party or movement. This is a dangerous mistake. No political party fully represents the truth of the Gospel. No administration is the Kingdom of God.   When we anchor ourselves to politics, we will eventually be shaken – because politics always shifts. But when we are anchored in Christ, we remain firm, even when the world trembles.   A WORD TO THE FAITHFUL   If you feel uncertain … If you feel pressured … If you feel accused or misunderstood …   Hear this clearly:   You are not on shaky ground if you stand with Christ.   You are only shaken if your foundation is elsewhere.   Return to Him. Remain in Him. Stand firmly in the truth of His Church.   FINAL EXHORTATION   This is not a time for fear. This is a time for clarity. We must reject hatred. We must reject false accusations. We must reject every attempt to force the Church into conformity with worldly ideologies.   And we must proclaim, without compromise:   JESUS CHRIST IS LORD.   Not Caesar. Not any party. Not any movement. Christ alone.   Therefore, stand firm in Him. Do not be shaken, do not be silenced, & do not be led astray. Remain faithful, remain rooted, & hold fast to the truth – no matter the cost. +Joseph

Anything you dedicate time to is worship. God wants to be in your life, not just visited on Sundays limited to a special building. That’s another beautiful part of Jesus’s choice to go on that cross, it allowed us to be connected to God. It’s why what you do and think matters. It’s not your works that make God happy, it’s your intentions driven by faith.
Bree Solstad@BreeSolstad

This is what emotionalism looks like. This is what a pop concert looks like. This is NOT what worship looks like.

@MikeCosper @PastorMark "Flawed" is (maybe accidentally) a very misleading word about Talarico. We need to be clear about Talarico that he is *not* a Christian, that he is a "false teacher" by New Testament definitions, and use words like "heresy", "heretic", or "apostate"

What do you need me to say, @pastormark? That I think his theology is flawed? Yeah… I do think that. He’s an American politician from the mainline tradition — of course I think his theology is flawed. It's not like we haven't seen people like him before. It's not like there aren't dozens of mainline folks in the halls of Congress currently. I'll dive into debate on this theology any time, and you'll find that you and I probably agree more than we don't. I'm still evangelical. I'm still reformed. I actually think I'm a little more reformed than you these days. But the point of the conversation, like the point of MUCH conversation of non-MAGA evangelicals around the Talarico phenomenon, is that he is resonating with people who appreciate his manner, his style, his attempt to embody a certain character that is more recognizably Christian than the harsh, brazen, and at times vulgar manner that has characterized MAGA. That doesn’t excuse policy positions I find reprehensible. Nor did I say it did. That doesn’t amount to an endorsement either. I would never vote for a politician with his policy positions. It’s called “Political analysis” and it’s about “why is this working for some people?” Now… don’t change the subject here, Mark — when do we get to talk? I'm happy to add Talarico to the agenda.
