It is time for Congress to abolish ICE. And in our state, we must pass New York for All immediately to protect our residents.

I’m incredibly proud to earn the endorsement of @CuffhAction, which has spent decades standing up for tenants and keeping New Yorkers in their homes. In the Assembly, I’ll be a relentless advocate for strong tenant protections, affordable housing, and putting people over profit.

What’s happening in Minnesota is appalling—and unacceptable in any American city. Democrats sought common sense reforms in the Department of Homeland Security spending bill, but because of Republicans’ refusal to stand up to President Trump, the DHS bill is woefully inadequate to rein in the abuses of ICE. I will vote no. Senate Democrats will not provide the votes to proceed to the appropriations bill if the DHS funding bill is included.

We’ve got to abolish ICE. We can’t reform it, we’ve got to abolish it. So grateful to the organisers of today’s protest in NYC @thenyic @nywfp @cuffhaction @maketheroadny @risenresistnyc and all the other groups coming together for this day of action. Only united can we win.

Congress just gave ICE $10 billion to continue terrorizing our community. We must abolish ICE once and for all.
