With Memorial Day approaching, we hold deep respect for the holiday's true meaning and honor and remember those who lost their lives in military service to our country. We also recognize that many veterans and military families continue to face lasting health impacts connected to their service. So we would like you to join us in contacting your Senators about the Vietnam Veterans Liver Fluke Cancer Study Act. This bill would require the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, in consultation with the CDC, to conduct a formal epidemiological study using data from the VA Central Cancer Registry and the National Program of Cancer Registries, thereby making significant research findings available to Veterans with cholangiocarcinoma and their families. On Saturday, May 2, Ben Scherer hosted the Second Annual Sam-a-Palooza 5K Family Fun Run/Walk in St. Louis, Missouri, in memory of his father, Sam. The event brought together more than 90 participants and raised over $15,000 for CCF. Reflecting on the day, Ben shared, “The Second Annual Sam-a-Palooza was a resounding success!
