I spent 2 hours playing with Stripe Projects this week. This might be the smartest move I've seen any company make in 2026. Here's what it is and why almost no one else could ship this. Stripe Projects is a CLI. You install a plugin, run one command, and your AI agent (or you) provisions real infrastructure across 31 cloud providers. - Vercel hosting? One command. - Neon Postgres? Spins up in 350ms. - Clerk auth, Supabase, PlanetScale, ElevenLabs, PostHog. All one command. And the good part is no signup forms. No CAPTCHAs. No 5 tabs open in your browser. Now here's the part that's wild. Provisioning a real Vercel account normally has friction by design. Email verify. Phone verify. CAPTCHA. That friction is the line between Vercel and a million bot signups farming the free tier. So how does Stripe just bypass all of it? Because Stripe is the only company on earth that already does legal-grade KYC on millions of developers. Real verified humans, real bank accounts, regulator-forced. They went to Vercel and said: "trust us, this is a real human, skip the friction." Vercel said yes because the alternative is missing out on a channel where AI agents are picking infrastructure. That's the moat. Google can't ship this. AWS can't. Cloudflare can't. None of them have the KYC pipeline a payments company is forced to build by law. And here's the second wedge. Every paid service in the catalog bills through your Stripe account. One invoice. One payment method. Stripe takes a cut on the database, the hosting, the analytics, everything. They just made themselves the toll booth between AI agents and the rest of the cloud. If you build software in 2026, install the CLI this week. Spin up a side project with it. You don't have to commit to anything. You just want the muscle memory of "agent commands a real cloud service" before this becomes the default way most apps get built. you will get the full breakdown with the gotchas I'd watch out for: artofcode.in/blog/what-is-s…

You press play on Netflix. So do 60 million other people. Nothing breaks. The trick isn't AWS. you know what @netflix shipped 8,000 red servers (350TB each) into your local ISP's office. Last night, an algorithm pre-loaded the show you're about to watch. You're not streaming from "Netflix." You're streaming from a box 2 miles away. I broke down the whole thing. - Open Connect - predictive caching - AV1 (now 30% of all Netflix traffic in 2026), and - why your app feels slow compared to theirs. Read: artofcode.in/blog/how-netfl…

Most devs misuse Python threads. They reach for them on CPU-heavy work and wonder why nothing speeds up. Threads are for waiting (network, files, DBs). Processes are for computing. @JayanthSanku01 explains the GIL, locks, and ThreadPoolExecutor here: artofcode.in/blog/python-mu…
