@Alt95niss That happened to us last Saturday. Anyway, shoutout to @bobbycarpenter Electric. Hired them a few years ago to install a hookup that runs almost my entire house for a little over $3G. Bought a generator that runs on propane gas. For ~$5G, never without power or heat.

@Genetics56 Expand to 128. First game is at the home court of the higher seed. If there is an argument about 128, 129 & 130 then use dueling pistols at 20 paces.

@kylamb8 The rejection letters from D1 majors were collected through FOIA requests. I'm sure you could find that if you wanted to, but don't want to weaken your argument.

@cwerph Other mid majors don’t seem to have any issues finding at least a few decent opponents. Every single mid major in this field played a tougher schedule than Miami. I’m so sick of the excuses

The "Miami proved it belonged in this tournament" college basketball media crowd is kind of quiet right now with 6-seed Tennessee putting it to them. Little different when you're not playing an undermanned SMU team that had no business in the field.

How does anyone in America actually believe this in 2026? Did this guy come here in a time machine or something?

@khrachvik Rich people don't rip anyone off. They get rich by providing you goods and services that you voluntarily pay them for because you want/need them.

@afaris1978 @RockChartrand Really? I have a right to free speech. What did I take from you to make this post? I have a right to freedom of religion. I prayed this morning after doing a Bible reading. What did it cost you? You are conflating rights and entitlements.

@RockChartrand All rights require labor and the resources of others. Your right to own your own property depends on the labor of the police to prevent others from taking it. Your right to vote depends on the labor of humans to make it all happen.

Nothing stops any country from declaring food a “right” internally. The push to universalize it isn’t about words, it’s about obligation. Calling food a right doesn’t create food. It creates a claim on someone else to produce and provide it. That shifts the issue from production to entitlement. Countries are happy to vote for "rights" that require resources they don’t have, then expect enforcement or funding to come from those who do. So the debate isn’t compassion vs indifference. It’s whether need alone creates a claim on others’ labor. If it does, it doesn’t stop at food. It becomes an open ended justification for taking from producers to satisfy any declared need. This communist idea is dependent on others to be looted to keep communist type failure and control alive.
Mohamad Safa@mhdksafa

When the UN tried to declare food a human right, two countries voted against it. The United States and Israel.

@DarkoStateNews When a strike ends the game, you can't just stand there and watch a close pitch. (If you don't think that was too close to take, get your eyes checked.) Foul it off and make the pitcher make another pitch. Taking the third strike there is stupid.

On the team sheet/profiles used by the committee, Ohio State is generally listed in the top 28 teams for qualitative analytics (power ratings likeKenPom). This suggests a 7 seed. Quantitative metrics (KPI, WAB, NET) are top 32-36. This suggests 8/9. Could be 7-10 seed for OSU.

@Riley_Gaines_ @GovernorVA Until a case is fully investigated, motives aren’t part of public announcements. That’s behaving responsibly. Further, condolences are about the victim, not the perpetrator. The right needs to grow up a bit. Not every message is about what you want.

If you only read the Governor of Virginia’s post, you’d have no idea he was murdered by a terrorist because of his service and love of country. Purposeful omission. You're a disgrace, @GovernorVA

Lt. Col. Brandon Shah was killed today in his classroom at Old Dominion University. A devoted ROTC instructor, Lt. Col. Shah didn’t just lead a life of service to our country, he taught and led others to follow that path.

@JohnEmerken @nettermike I'm certain the folks who run the rest of the government so well can figure out how to run a successful business with with average net margins throughout the industry of 1-3%. 🙄

@nettermike Why not transition to government run grocery stores over say a 12 month period. Give grocery stores chains some time to get out. Smoother transition. It'll be fun to see how Seattle does with that experiment.

Seattle’s socialist Mayor Katie Wilson has officially declared war on grocery chains. She claims she will unilaterally BAN grocery stores from closing down in her city, arguing that food access is a human right that overrides business decisions. She said : "We cannot allow big grocery chains to close stores at will!" The Plan: If a private business tries to leave due to theft, taxes, or safety concerns... the government will step in. Her allies in the state legislature have even introduced a bill (HB-2313) allowing the city to use Eminent Domain to SEIZE grocery store properties and turn them into government-run shops. Mayor Katie Wilson calls it "protecting the community." Critics call it "holding businesses hostage." Thoughts?

@allenanalysis I'd really be worried if she came out of the briefing saying, "OMG, we were totally justified." If she acknowledged that Trump could be right, it might signal the end of civilization.

🚨 Senator Elizabeth Warren just walked out of the classified Iran briefing: “I was worried before. I’m more worried now.” Then she said the quiet part loud: “It is so much worse than you think.” No plan. Illegal war. Based on lies. No imminent threat. That’s not the opposition talking. That’s a U.S. Senator after seeing what you’re not allowed to see. Blumenthal fears boots on the ground. Crow called it a lie. Warren says it’s worse than you think. And Trump is out here saying wars can be fought “forever.” Believe them.

@RonDeSantis For me, the issue is not how he labels God, but how he tries to use that language to say "If God is this, it's natural for you to be this as well." It's a deceptive teaching meant to further a political agenda.
