While I’m staunchly anti-taxation, I live paycheck to paycheck because the government jacks nearly half of it every other week. Virtually nothing I pay in taxes benefits me, in any justifiable way. Social Security is depleted, all social programs are only applicable to the parasite class (and occassionally the truly helpless). I don’t qualify for free healthcare, and I can’t afford Health/Dental insurance. Half the roads I drive on are Toll Roads. I pay for my own electricity, water, garbage removal, food, medication (without insurance rates). I pay for my transportation to and from work, and I’m taxed even more on the fuel I require to get there. If my car breaks down, I am responsible for the repairs. (Keep in mind, that I, and millions more workingclass Americans live paycheck to paycheck. Where is this emergency money coming from? Loans, if you have good credit) We are taxed at such a targeted rate, it’s designed to keep us from saving money, let alone investing it. Similarly, corporations have created a competition to pay the lowest average wages. Combine that with the fact that wages are the seemingly the only thing that doesn’t adjust with inflation. The government’s solution? Raise the minimum wage for no-skill labor and now those jobs are becoming comparable to occupations that requite a Bachelors Degree. It is literally a system of cunningly engineered socially accepted slavery. When I work overtime to try to make/save money, I get taxed more, and instead of getting a badly needed refund, the IRS decides I owe them money. Make it make sense? Aside from poorly designed roads, and Military Industrial Complex that outspends five of the next closest countries combined. While I support the need for a military, I do not agree with most of our foreign policy, and Iraq/Afghanistan are worse off than ever. Hundreds of billions of dollars wasted, thousands dead (millions of civilians). So, aside from a rogue military who is being run by pedophile, murdering, satan worshipping (aliens?) cannibalistic monsters and it doesn’t make Americans feel like the “good guys” in this third world war they are trying desperately to initiate. And, roads (that aren’t toll roads) that are destroying my car’s suspension are covered in potholes. This is brutal living Elon. Probably why half the country has lost their minds, become so easily manipulated. So, forgive me when I say, while I don’t think we should be taxed at all, you managed to reach a networth of trillion dollars on this tax system. I’m sure most elites pass it off as envy, and certainly there are many who are envious, but even to those of us that aren’t haters, there is something profoundly disgusting when people who could literally wipe their ass with my paltry bi-weekly allowance (right to live money) complain about being “overtaxed”. Even if the government took 90% of your wealth, you’d STILL be in business. In fact, the subsidies you guys get and preferential treatment is designed to make you richer. So please, as a supporter of all you do, a trillionaire complaining money problems is tantamount to Marie Antoinette telling the starving Parisians “Let them eat cake”. I still love you, but it makes you sound like a τωατ, just sayin’. 🌻✌🏼

This is the federal income tax play all over again. It started in 1913 as a “class tax” on the rich, hitting less than 1% of the population with a 1% rate above $3,000. It expanded during WWII into a mass tax on most workers through withholding, skyrocketing rates, base broadening, and bracket creep to fund wars and spending.
