The first-ever #SNLuk @skytv was fantastic and it was a pleasure being in the studio audience. The cast were incredible and the crew amazing. I want this programme to succeed because it’s a brilliant outlet for writers, comedians and provides jobs for talented TV professionals at a time when big live entertainment shows are scarce. Good luck to everyone involved and may it continue for a long time.

Every single one of these 3 points is spot on, people want to do it down but complain that tv is rubbish these days. We need SNL, and full credit to @skytv for taking the risk.

@scottygb @Variety I think the mistake in this will be only running to 8 show (I know that's up from 6) it needs a 20 to 30 week run. Will find it's identity, great start so far, glad they also lent into the negativity pre show in the monologue.

@btharris93 Getting rid of the triple lock and Linking pensions to gdp growth would be my move.

It’s depressing how easily many of the UK’s fiscal problems could be solved (by scrapping the triple lock and liberalising planning) but we simply choose not to because the pensioners would get mad.

Tories have called a debate in Parliament today on fuel duty. Brave. They went into the election with these plans: "Fuel duty will rise by 5p in March 2025 and will be uprated with RPI in every year from April 2025 onwards, in line with stated government policy."
