What fantastic job! Castle road, in Portsmouth. This was a road, then an LTN. Now it’s just a properly done, pedestrianised street. With a degree of harmonised design. And no tarmac! No white upvc! This is what politics is about. Making places better.

@createstreets You should see a lot of city centre Leeds. Where scars are fixed (rare) it’s often with the wrong colour. It’s an absolute huge policy failure and one that can (should) be relatively easy to fix.

Just examining this from @CLondoner92 after reading @RossLydall’s article earlier. Didn’t realise numbers have dropped sharply. A campaign is needed. We need to get people back on buses in London. We have the best bus network in the world. Any ideas?

@AndyRoden1 @TSSAunion As long as there is spec to upgrade in the future I don’t see this being a huge issue. Eventually Hs2 will be built in full. We need to make sure when that day happens we don’t have capacity issues.

@TSSAunion Mark Wild suggested this last year. Also suggested dropping ATO under ETCS L2. Nothing massively new here, guys.

£2 million. On a roundabout. Not even a new road, just a redesigned junction in Hemel Hempstead. This Dutch style layout prioritises cyclists and pedestrians, forces drivers to give way multiple times, and is so confusing the council had to release a 3 minute explainer video just to show people how to use it. Meanwhile, roads crumble, services struggle, and bills rise. This isn’t investment. It’s mismanagement.

@ReissOmari @BhamColmore @BhamCityCouncil Please ensure these are fixed….with genuinely matching paving slabs…. We need to reform how utility works are conducted such that people don’t have to make a fuss over things like this to get them fixed.

We’ve hit rock bottom here guys, unfortunately I can’t see Colmore Row ever getting back to its pristine state, not even 2 years, hundreds of thousands pounds was spent to repave and we now have THREE separate sections of paving stones replaced with tarmac. @BhamColmore

@TheMurkyDepths Really questionable place to put a data centre. Doesn’t employ many people and right next to an excellent public transport corridor. These things should be in the middle on nowhere!!

@BenGrahamUK Such an intentionally misleading post. £460 million is the cost of a 3 mile brand new dual carriageway of which the wildlife bridge is part of. Google A417 Missing Link.

Britain is spending £460 million building a 60 metre wildlife bridge over the A417 dual carriageway in Gloucestershire, for animals to cross. That’s a £7.6 million per metre deer crossing. It would be funny if it wasn't our tax payer money being wasted, meanwhile real problems remain unfunded.
