Crazy sequence. Still can't believe what I saw. I think officials were intending to stop the clock to review the clock. Saint Louis also didn't try to immediately inbound ball. Think it comes down to did this interfere with play. Tricky situation for officials imo

Cameron Heyward, set to turn 37 in May, has agreed to a new two-year deal with the Steelers worth $32.25 million, source confirms. The first year is guaranteed. The move keeps Heyward in Pittsburgh through the 2027 season and frees up about $5.5 M in cap space.

By rule, a defensive player must allow a moving player that is receiving a pass, outside of the lower defensive box, an opportunity to avoid contact. The speed of the player will determine the amount of distance an opponent must allow. On this play, Brunson does not give Gilgeous-Alexander an opportunity to avoid contact after receiving a pass outside of the LDB and therefore Brunson is not in a legal guarding position. The referees will then judge if the contact affects the SQBR (Speed, Quickness, Balance, or Rhythm) of Gilgeous-Alexander. If it does, this would be a blocking foul and if it does not then a no call would be appropriate.

This just tells me my work is not done here. This move has always been legal at all levels of basketball, and this Dan fellow simply got wrong information when he was a kid,which is why he thinks it's switching pivot when it's really just legally lifting it off the floor to shoot

This non travel call is killing basketball, YOU CANT CHANGE pivot feet. For 200 yrs in basketball this is a WALK , but lately the refs have decides you can just take another step. It is happening every night in CBB and its never called anymore. Its a freaky travel.
