Visit to the band tonight to promote SI Abbie Beange to 2Lt and to watch the rehearsals ready for a performance on Saturday at the Stadium of Light and the Remembrance Day parade at Durham Cathedral on Sunday

Another Night another visit, a throughly enjoyable evening spent visiting the band and Bugles @dacf_band @DurhamAcf

On Saturday the Band and Bugles alongside over 120 musicians from around the UK took part in the Beating Retreat on the Esplanade of Edinburgh Castle. Our CFAV and cadets were part of the Massed Band, Pipes and Bugles alongside Scotland and Gwent and Powys.

The Band and Bugles joined Musicians from @ArmyCadetsScot yesterday evening in the Balaklava Concert.

Today some of our adult volunteers are in Edinburgh playing at Holyrood Palace for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Ceremony. The Earl of Wessex, Prince Edward, is hosting while Her Majesty The Queen has been spotted watching out of a window. What a great opportunity! @dacf_band

The Band & Bugles would like to congratulate our Band Sergeant Major, Matthew Roberts, on his certification of appreciation from the Chief Fire Officer of County Durham and Darlington. This was awarded to him for his meritorious service within the Army Cadet Force 🏆@CDDFRS

This week the Band & Bugles were visited by former SAS soldier, author, and TV personality @bigphilcampion . Phil got involved joining the bugle section, marching alongside them on parade and ended the rehearsal trying his hands on the congas🪘🥁 @ArmyCadetsUK #inspiretoachieve

Today marks the 75th anniversary of VJ Day, Victory over Japan and the true end of The Second World War. On this day we remember them, their comrades in the 14th Army - The Forgotten Army - and all those allies who served in east Asia. Lest we forget
