Singaporeans weren’t willing either they were urinating and popping in elevators, they dumped from high-rises. LKY didn’t wait for willingness. He imposed heavy fines, installed urine sensors in lifts, ran aggressive campaigns, and enforced relentlessly - that created willingness. Leadership owns it 100%. We haven’t had anyone willing to lead like that.
@POKEY4F

@Jessejagz The people also have to me willing.

I see basic public services like this in countries like South Africa, and I wonder why Nigerians keep settling for non governance. These below are libraries in one municipality (in Nigeria that would be one Local Government Area) in South Africa (and the city of Tshwane alone has 62 public libraries). How many functional public libraries does the whole of Nigeria have (let's not even mention the WiFi)? Why again does anyone call Nigeria the giant of Africa?

WiFi services are available at the following locations in Region 1. @CityTshwane

Sixteen years ago, one man stood alone on a grassy hill at a music festival in Washington State, USA, and started dancing by himself. People glanced over and looked away. Some laughed. His roommate leaned in and warned him people were filming him. He did not stop. Then one stranger got up and joined him. Then another. Then the hillside tipped. Within minutes, hundreds of people were sprinting from across the field to be part of something that, thirty seconds earlier, had been one man being laughed at in a field. Someone filming from higher up the hill said quietly: "See what one man can do. One man can change the world." The clip spread across the internet in 2009. Entrepreneur Derek Sivers played it at a TED conference to explain how movements actually begin. Not with the first person brave enough to start, he argued, but with the first person willing to join them. Collin Wynter, the man dancing alone, later said he had no idea he had done anything special. He was just tired of watching everyone sit still.

YOU CANNOT tell me that the Nigeria Police in Delta State or in that Community is Not aware of this horrible practice. If so, it would mean the apparatus is entirely useless. NPF is not that naive. There is absolutely no way.

It’s impossible to enjoy such atmosphere in a very poor country like Nigeria without gatekeeping the area from panhandlers, pickpockets and retailers — which defeats the purpose of tranquility in the first place.
The Sketch Designer@_OvalDesigns

Do we even have places like this in Nigeria, or is it just concrete everywhere? Sun and heat wan kpai Nigerians because we prefer concrete to planting trees 🌿

A lot of problems will be solved by not being a lawless country. That’s why we have to get it right with our leaders.

Some of culture in Nigeria that people hide behind to commit criminal act. People that police should fish out and charge to court immediately. That is how they used oro festival to terrorise students then in Ijebu. Students went missing and never found til today

I don’t even want context or an explanation about what the culture is. If the punishment for being outside when you’re not meant to or breaking a rule is sexual assault, may you all burn in hell

See why I don’t like when you guys whitewash African “tradition”, cos why is there a tradition of molesting women in Delta state? Like an actual festival of sexually assaulting women? Going on live in 2026? Disgusting, evil and abhorrent

Some cultures are inferior and should be discontinued due to the societal destruction they bring. Culture shouldn’t be preserved just because it was practiced by your ancestors a century ago. It should be constantly assessed. Humans are the masters of cultures, not the other way round.

You know how people fantasize about the 1600s thinking they'd be one crown prince or high chief, not knowing they'd be just the eunuch slave Supporting imperialismo is quite similar. Because you never think you'd be the cow fodder, the victim of the Pax.
